I have my tounge done, i had my belly button when i was 11 that was my mothers idea of a birthday present and i had it until 19 when i got pregnant and i wouldnt want to show my belly now anyways! My tounge hurt not going to lie ice chips help and i never had any problems with it! i still have it at 24. My mom let me get a tattoo at 15 but refused to get my tounge pierced i had 3 tattoos by 18 when i was finally able to get it done myself.. explain that one.. haha they are addicting i would get my nose done if i could find a job.. sad face maybe one day.

How much does the belly button area piercing cost (not including the jewelry)? I hear some have a bit of trouble with it chafing. I can get way with it, I think, because a lot of what I wear is low-rise.

It all depends on the place that you go to. I know that in places in Colorado you could get them for $10 and it be decent. It all depends where you go

Wow, piercings! Now, this is a subject I can relate too!!!

OK, well first off, I 'd like to recommend that you don't go bigger that 6g. If you do, then no bigger than 4g. I've got all kinds of friends that had 0g and bigger and their ears are messed up today. They will never have a normal ear lobe again. And as far as with myself... I dont' recall if my biggest plugs were 6g or 4g, but it was one of the two. Luckily, I am able to get by with many earrings, but not all. If I wear no earrings, I do fine, but certain kinds of earrings just don't look right in my ears now(causes my hole to look like a slit)

Oh, and as far as the plastic things go (i.e. retainers), you need to know that you CAN'T wear those when you first get something pierced. Plastic is riddled with tons of nearly-microscopic holes, which hold air... Now I don't know why, but they say that that's bad for new piercings. Somehow, it causes infections.

And unless you work at an airport, you won't need to wear retainers to go. You can pass through metal detectors using standard piercing jewelry. Trust me JUST WATCH IT IF YOU WEAR A STUDDED BELT AND METAL WALLET CHAIN (I will never do that again!)

And as for your last question... kind of. I used to have my umm... member... pierced. And I just removed those. Actually, I don't wear any piercings currently, except for my regular girl earrings (I've got all kinds of holes in my ears). I DO, however, plan to get my nipples and my belly button pierced once I start HRT. I also might do my nose...

lol. yes. I used to have around 16 in my ears alone. i've had 2 piercings in my lips 2 diff times. I've had my nose done and my eyebrow... and I had 4 piercings in my you know what...

Oh, and I had planned on adding like 4 more piercings to each ear, doing my other eyebrow, doing my nipples, and adding 3 more to my you know what.

So, ya, there is EASILY room for 22.

corset=HOT! Like I said, addicting lol. I started in High school with my belly button (worst one ever) and progressed. I have also never paid for a piercing in my life. My best friend is a professional piercer :-) I want to second what Lizzy said. Piercings and tattoos can be very dangerous when not done properly. There are very few legit piercing pagodas in malls. If you go to one. Check them out first. NEVER ever get a piercing from a friend even if they think they know what they are doing. I made this mistake in High school and it ended up turning out just fine but looking back on it we were stupid and I could have really been in trouble. Completely hypocritical saying do as I say not as I do but I made that mistake and many others have made that mistake, some not as lucky as others. I attatched a picture of my favorite piercing. This picture was taken before I got both reverse anti-eyebrows.

Piercings are like tattoos, addicting as heck!

See that's what I'm afraid of... lol I only want a few piercings and I don't wanna go overboard. Same with tattoos. I don't wanna end up with a sleeve on each arm, that's just too much for me. lol. I wanna get "passion and wisdom" in Scots Gaelic tattooed onto my inner arm. Not sure what other tattoos I want but I will probably want more than that, just haven't come up with any good ideas yet As for piercings I wanna get my cartilage pierced but that takes long to heal and I've heard it's really painful so I dunno. I also want a few more on my earlobes (I already have both earlobes pierced.)

And yeah that's about it. lol.

i wouldn't be too worried. people that really don't want too many piercings from the get go rarely wind up with a whole lot. especially if you don't hang out with people that have lots of piercings, you're likely to remain pretty conservative with it.

So I had went from a 14G to a 10G right... Well they are infected now. Great! They were hurting me and my left one was hurting real bad. So I tried to take out. When I put my fingers in the back to get the tapper out, I felt a wetness. It was bleeding. I got them out right away. It took me a long time. They were very very sore! I now have the 14G rings that I had in before because a Facebook friend told me to keep something in because it's bad to let them close with an infection. He's a professional piercer, so I felt comfortable listening to him so I put the 14G back in. The holes around it are *very* tight and small. When I move my head it hurts. Poor ears They are so nasty. I am cleaning them with peroxide because that is all we have. We don't have any neosporin or anything like that so this is all I get. I never should have skipped G's but I did so I have to be very very careful and wait it out for awhile.

Note: Let this be a LESSON to all of you!! Take care of piercings. TALK TO SOMEONE that knows what they are doing. Like a professional!! I am in a LOT of pain from my ears right now. Also, if you are using tappers, DO NOT WEAR THEM ALL THE TIME! They are not meant to be used as plugs, only to stretch the holes. CLEAN the piercings. Do NOT let your piercings get infected!! It's *VERY* painful and dangerous!! Please be careful with piercings!!!

You really need to get some sea salt and let them soak for a bit. If you can, get some H2Ocean and start spraying your ears 6-8 times a day.

I don't have any money for that stuff I was told that peroxide would work just fine for now. I just got done doing that not too long. They look like crap.

I am so sorry about your infections but you can get by with peroxide as a disinfectant but the sea salt will be very good for it and not dry it as much.

It is not expensive you can buy it in any grocery store.

you can use tea tree oil to help clean the piercing if you can't get hold of any peroxide

also i can't stress this enough when stretching please use a lot of water based lube like ky jelly or astroglide it helps not to get a blow out

Plenty of room for 22. None are dirty and only 4 on my ears. Two guaged lobes and industrials. I also have an anti-eyebrow, reverse anti-eyebrow on both sides, labret, and a couple more unusual ones. :-) Piercings are like tattoos, addicting as heck!

Speaking as someone with 22 piercings, they wont set off metal detectors at airports lol. I promise. But if your paranoid you could always buy retainers in bulk :-)

Southern Belle since you know alot about piercings I will just let you know that I had 2 frenals and 2 PA's. I would not suggest that anyone get a PA. The only bright side for me is if and when I have SRS it will take away what I have done there.

This is to everyone else that is thinking about piercings or tats, just make sure you can live with the holes as some dont heal up ever or a tat for the rest of your life. I have piercing regret that I wish I never did. I probably could be called a pin cushin for the amount of times I have been pierced. I only wear earrings now but want my belly button done again. I had to take that one out because of a previous job. Lizzy and anyone else that wants their belly button, I will warn you that if you have a job that does a lot of lifting or carrying boxes around your belly area that it is not going to be that comfortable and could make it take forever to heal properly. That is why I had to take mine out because it would never heal properly after 6 months of keeping it in. I would continually hit it with a box or something else.
