yeah that's what i was thinking. Have you ever thought about using scar cream like Mederma or something to help the scars fade?

yeah they would be able to do that, if I am getting peri they do adjust the nipples. I need lots of resizing though; hopefully that isn't a problem with making it look like a male chest. I have to talk to a dr. about it.

I have Vitamin E Oil that I can use that works just as good as anything I been told. I haven't been able to use it though because it's packed away at my Foster Mums' house. I need to go see them and when I move out on my own I can get all that stuff and start on it again.

Well what are you waiting for!?!? Do I need to be a bugger and bug you until you ask??? :P Call call call!! I can be quite the bugger ;)

Cool! Congrats on surgery! Which one did you get? I never had a lot of chest dysphoria either... well, I mean other than what I said above about being really envious of guys when they were shirtless... that bugs me. But compared to my lower dysphoria it's nothing. It feels like something's missing down there :(... lol...

I got a double incision mastectomy with Dr. Garramone in Florida. It cost his flat fee of $5,700 for double incision.

lol. Well first off I wanna be on T first before getting top surgery. It's recommended that you do that - I think because of fat redistribution. You don't lose the actual breast tissue itself, but if the fat redistributes or you lose weight, you can get smaller. Also, I need to have the money even if I am going to do the monthly payments. And I'd rather pay for it myself than ask my parents - aka I need to get a job :P And I just got a new primary care dr. that I met yesterday - he'd be the one to refer me for a prophylactic mastectomy if I can in fact go that route.

Annyways, this thread isn't about my top surgery, it's about you. lol. Sorry I got off-topic. I do think it's great you are ok with not getting surgery though. I've never been under before and it kinda scares me blink.gif They're really gonna have to sedate me hardcore before I go under. lol. So that's one less thing for you to worry about.

As for the Vitamin E oil - yeah, that's probably a good idea. I've also heard people use silicone strips for the scars from top surgery (if you get double incision) so maybe that will help with your scars? I don't really know much about these or where to get them though.

Well, then get your T :P :P Are you any closer to getting it? I remember you saying something about seeing someone and then waiting to see who was better (I think that's what it was). Where are in that process? And it's still a good idea to get a head of everything!! Even if it won't be a year or more. Start figuring out what everything would be NOW rather than wait too long and trying to figure it all out within just mere months. Trust me, figuring stuff out sooner is hella lot better than trying to do it later on. :)

All I have to say to that is BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH :P I share!!!!! Sharing is caring so get over it :P:D

Yeah, I have a dr. appointment on Monday and another one on Thursday. I have a feeling the Thursday one is gonna go better and I'm gonna end up going to that dr... but we shall see. I am starting school on July 13th, moving in the day before... so i had better get my T by then.... or I will be really angry.gifbanghead.gif

Silicone strips are used for scarring. For example: ScarAway

They are pretty affordable and I found an article about a study saying they do help reduce scarring/scar visibility.

It's your choice man, you don't need our approval. I mean, as people who don't fit in to normal gender constraints, it would be hypocritical of us to judge you for a personal choice.

Whatever makes you happy!

Yup, what everybody else said. If you don't need the surgery why do it? Pain, recovery, chance it might not go as you want, money.....

Glad you know what you need to do.

Now as for this bit (;) cuz y'all knew I couldn't be good the entire post....lol)

I can't understand why anyone would want breasts (even cis girls, lol cuz to me they just seem like a nuisance)

Yes, I agree, as a transman who had to suffer that annoyance, they were nothing but a pain in the keister and had no purpose.

HOWEVER (lol ) as a straight man who wants em present when me and "Ms. Cis" are dating? Leave em alone lol . All hail the boobies.

lol I must agree :P It's funny I was watching that show Gary Unmarried I was talking about, and there's this episode that starts with him looking at his gf's breasts and he's like "what's it like to have boobs? Is it annoying?" And she's like "YES" LOL.

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
