Ok after trying so hard lately to find a job, me and my mom both. She finds a great one and it has excellent pay and lots of benefits. This is also wonderful news but it gets better. I mentioned the group therapy offered by Felisha Porter and said it was 30 bucks a session. She said that's alot cheaper than I thought and I said yea and she has private sessions for 90 bucks. Also cheaper than what she thought, I mean I have been trying to get a job for so long and I still am, I even tried looking at her bank to see if they were hiring. They seem to have excellent policies about trans, I won't mention names of the bank because I am afraid it will be linked back to her somehow so let's just say it's a bank lol.

I being the dumb dumb I am and I feel bad doing this I asked her if it was ok until I get a job can she front it for me. She said yes, 2 times a month is waaaaaaaaaaay better than what I have had. No times a month. =) I'm so ecstatic! I can't wait til she gets paid and I can set up an appointment. I feel like a bum for doing this but I said until I get a job and I will still be filling out apps like mad like I've been doing, I'll be the house maid. She laughed and laughed harder when I said if you wanna find me a maid dress I'll wear that too!

Just sooooooo happy, I mean this means I can get somewhere now, she has been so supportive as of late. I mean it's like she is even connecting with me on a dare I say it? Mother daughter relationship, she's offered to let me borrow her girly hair magz for reference and even let me borrow some of her makeup! Omg this is like a dream come true, I said I will be paying her back in full when I get a job and then some. I didn't say the last part but I will be. Yes I really do feel bad about going this route but I mean it isn't like I'm just sitting around all day lol. Been excersising and dieting, cleaning up, trying to meditate to clear my head, applying to every place I can for every position I am qualified for lol. I thank Jessie05 for the meditation idea. Been helping me so much with my depression.

Gah I can't believe I did that but still...I'm conflicted, I feel like a moocher for this but I feel so relieved at the same time.

Oh another update. Ok I was talking to my mom, and she wants me to go chat with a regular therapist first, I agreed because, i mean hell shes paying for my other stuff, might as well try this, if I tell them what I am feeling about how I need to make myself female to match my mind, will they just say its depression or some other thing? It's something I kind of fear, because I told her I would permit her to be with me on a couple of sessions so she can see. I just don't want them to call it something else cause they aren't a trained Gender therapist. I don't mind her wanting me to be absolutely sure.

Ashley let me first say congrats for you and your mom. As far as Feleshia goes, I know personally that she is wonderful. I have been going to see her since January. She has a cozy little office and makes you feel very comfortable. I would definately recommend her to anyone that is in the DFW area. I hope you can start seeing her soon. She has alot of contacts in this area for the trans community so don't be afraid to ask her. By the way if you want to PM me I can get you info on a gender friends group in the area.

Fort Worth/Arlington/Mansfield is my neck of the woods, and North Dallas is not very feasible with my schedule to make it up to Feleshia Porter. Any Suggestions would be great!
