Prose and Cons

We all make mistakes and regret them

We all stumble and fall on the path

We oft hurt those we love most – unknowingly

Selfish in our thoughts and our ways

So we work so hard to be forgiven

And know this is never for certain

We all know we want to be perfect

But our selfishness oft overcomes

We are perfect in our minds and our actions

Ne’r pay mind to those that we love

We feel they will love us regardless

In all it is their lot to love us

So it isn’t our fault they are flawed

They refuse to forgive our mistakes

Not our fault that they so love us

After all they knew we were snakes

Rethinking

No that is false and we so know it be true

Those who love us must in turn be loved

So we ask for forgiveness and pray cometh

Ne’r again should we love them in vain

So my love I am so sorry I hurt you

My heart was there but not so my head

If I do say myself to be loving you

All my life if you’ll only forgive.

Hi Lizzy!

I have been pondering all afternoon about how to respond, but I am afraid that the hormone level inside of me is preventing me from understanding the deeper parts of which you express. It was very well done, wish I could express feelings even half as well,but we each have our different gifts. I am concerned in the title that perhaps someone was being a bit hard on themselves.

Hope that the forgiveness needed for the eternal love is forthcoming.

wow, thats singlehandedly one of the most powerful things i've read.... liz thats excellent. really sparks alot of emotionality in me, because i believe we all can relate to this very much so.. >.< and some such as myself are still in the rift :/ this is beautiful though, thank you!
