Ah, the box! I <3 metaphors. The box is exactly what I used to describe my life when I used to refer to Belle in the third person. My wife was trying to be here for me (we're getting divorced now) and so she would try to make me comfortable about my transsexuality and when I would get excited... like twice a day or more... she would start to tell me it was too much for her. So I'd say, "You know, I really appreciate that you're trying to make my first ventures outside my box comfortable for me, but when you make me get back in my box it hurts all the more. I used to be OK in my box. I didn't really like it there, but at least I was comfortable! I have all kinds of pretty decorations in there and a nice little peep hole where I can see the world around me, and while I always wanted to be a part of that world..."

Anyway, sweetie, I just thought I'd share that with you. Sometimes I take my metaphors to the extreme.

I too just came out of my box/dark for the first time in 25 yrs on June 12th 2010 *my new birthday* giggles

I too am married and have my 10th year anniversary on July 8th right after my biological birthday on July 6th.

My first GT appointment is on the 8th of July as well.

So anyway, I ramble alot too.

Are you seeing a GT? A GT would help you through accepting yourself.

If you can't see one now, just stick around on the forums. Keep posting about your self-acceptance. Make some friends here. I have some advice for self-acceptance, but I'm wondering if it will even do anything? Just understand that you are normal. Transsexuality has existed throughout history. And you are normal.
