Bell Bottom Question

I bought a Bell Bottom Jean from EBay (Bell Bottom Link) , I thought it was the correct length but it is a bit too long. What is the appropriate length for Bell Bottoms? I really love the feel and look of these jeans and hate to get rid of them, can the length be fixed? maybe just 2 inches or so? Thanks

Any decent tailor should be able to hem them for you, hon. I'm not sure if there is one "right" length - it depends a lot on whether you will wear them with flats, boots or heels. Take whatever shoes you plan to wear with them to the tailor so they can hem them correctly.

The shoes are the key!

Wear a nice heel to make the cuff come out just right....

If you desire to wear a lower shoe....Get them hemmed up!

I plan to use boots with these, I do think though still that I need to take these to a tailor and have them hem it correctly. Thanks Girls for the suggestions!!

I love the scruffed look on the hem of my pants, I like the holes, not to many jus one or two, but I only like them when I put them there! Buyign them like that is just so, blegh

Bell bottoms when I wore them (1969-1971) I wore them with 3/4" platform clunky shoes, and let the hem almost touch the ground.

Interestingly I was male then, that was the style - and my hair was long - I wore flowered patterned and paisley shirts - a grand time for we MTF not out.

The hem does touch the floor sadly (barely) so I just need to have them shortened a bit I would think. I can try to see how they are with heels on though before I to get them hem'd correctly.
