I've been seriously thinking about doing this before trying to do anything publicly or im afraid i wont be able to pass, and my body type is gonna give me enough trouble as is. I like my heritage, dont get my wrong, but some of the genetics i got from it... ya know that sterotypical big italian nose? yeah well....thats me. I have a softish face though and i think with a better browline and a new nose...I may have a chance. So I was wondering if anyone could give me opions, insight, whatever....on cost...and results and... any other kind of thing. I only have like 4k so...I'd probably have to ask my family...which scares me.

Um, I apologize if a thread like this has been made already.

The Big 3 in the US are Dr Ousterhout in San Francisco (35-45k), Dr Zukowski in Chicago (25-35k) and Dr Spiegel in Boston (25-35k). These prices are basically for "the works". Dr O's price includes a stay in a wonderful recovery house (the Cocoon House), the other two don't have that.

My little rant: DON'T have surgery for others. Do it for yourself.

About heritage. This is strictly my personal opinion: Dr O and Dr Spiegel will respect your feelings more than Dr Zukowski. Don't want to start a flame war so I'll just leave it at that.

I feel that should I be taken to that point in my life Ffs will be a must. I'm glad you brought it up. I know nothing however... um I say just llearn the facts and be careful ;

You aren't alone; there are lots of people who undergo FFS before they go full time. Passing can mean the difference between life or death. And yikes, 45k? I was thinking more like 15k, that's disappointing. Maybe I won't need the works. I was planning to go for a consultation in early 2009, because I'll have 20k to 30k put away by then; I guess I'll see what I need. I don't want FFS for others, I want it for me, because every time I look in the mirror I see a guy.

Yeah, I would do this only for me. I want to able to pass when I start trying but I hate my look too so it's not just for that. It's just... I wanna see me in mirrors, not just my head. And thanks for those names... I've been to all 3 cities in the past, so at least they arn't strange to me if I decide to check it out. Those prices...straw inhaler though. On top of everything else... gonna be hard. XD as for the minimum I still have like 20k to go >.>
