Alright! List your gender abits!!! Examples!

Thumbs in your pants with fingers hanging out, or thumbs in belt loop- MALE

Hands behind your back- Not sure, it seems nuetral

Legs spread while waiting- MALE

Arms crossed- BOTH

Hands on your hip- FEMALE

Hand to your chest- FEMALE

List the habit, what gender it is most commonly associated with!

This is to help all MtF learn how to behave more femeinein with habits they should try to get into and break out of, and vice versa for FtM!

First off I understand that a lot of people want to keep a check on their feminine/masculine habits for passing etc. Good luck to y'all! :)

However for me personally if I have any feminine habits... they're me! I wouldn't want to go around learning/subtracting things for the sake of becoming 'more male' somehow. I's a me! Try not to get too worried about your habits anyone. *offers hugs to be shared around*

I hope none of that sounded like I was saying it's a bad thing to do.. I just don't want anyone to worry that they have to do this!

Naw, Sam....

My stuff seems to be coming on naturally...

Hands around or on my face when talking to people...

Short steps...

I carry books like you used to see girls do in school...on my hip..

Bats eyes....I found that it works on some people...

More extensive use of hands while talking...

If someone cut my hands off I couldnt talk anymore T.T

Thats morbidly funny, but I share the sentiment.

I use a lot of hand gestures and facial expressions when I talk, I sit with my arms folded in my lap or have my fingers interlocked and around the knee that is on top (I always cross my legs), I have been told this so my view on this might be a little off, I fix my hair like a girl does, now thats just fine in my book but its one of those things that just kinda fell into place, I never thought anything of it and I never considered what I was doing.

Well I certainly wouldn't be able to talk to anyone online at any rate. :P

I've been meaning to invest some time in setting up voice-recognition for my computer. If there's going to be a spate of hand-chopping I might have to get onto this!

I also sit with my legs crossed and my hands over my knee.

I also carry my kids on my hip. Have I mentioned I love the fact that I have some hips now.

I drive with my hand twirling my hair most of the time.

I am constantly sweeping my hair behind my ears.

I will think of more later.

Constantly fixing hair in every window I pass :< (Yes Magistrate, I plead guilty to self Grooming!)

Keep my hands high when walking or talking, usually around the chest to chin area.

Play with my hair when bored

I close my eyes when touching my face

I've got a wiggle in my walk <3 (Badoomba doomba doom.)

This one just started for me, but its carrying essential items in a nice shoulder bag (purse) instead of in pockets. The shoulder bag holds a lot more, and it helps me to feel more feminine carrying it!

Huggs!

I do talk with my hands so I share the sentiment if they went bye bye I would be at a loss of words literally. I dunno what I do that is feminine. Maybe it's all forced but it helps me get in the habit. Thanks all will be stealin yer ideas. :3

Stop it. You are trying too hard.

Simply let loose. Um... I didn't know I was trying too hard. I wasn't really trying. I have been told though that hands on the hips and playing with your hair are just cries for attention. I dunno. My wife pointed it out to me. Quit playing with your hair, buy hair spray. Hands on the hips says, "Look at me!" That is all I have for now. I'm still learning the unspoken rules of girl world.

About hands in the pockets for guys. One thumb in one pocket if you are leaning against something. Normally the pocket opposite to the wall/pole. Bend the knee on the thumb side and try to look disinterested in everything. B)

Ummm... I agree its sorta the other way around. Once you allow yourself to be what you are, you naturally start to act appropriately for that gender. Maybe the HRT (or T) also rewires your behaviour a little. But I feel and see me doing things I once marveled at in women, thinking "how can I ever learn all that?" Most behavour is from a reason, and transitioning is more about letting yourself be, than imitating others.

That use of the hands to talk? We do much more than that - if at a table, lean forward! Suddenly communicating is extremely important and it takes whatever you have to keep what you say perfectly clear, with the clear intent you want, and - well - your hands are pretty now, sometimes manicured and with a bit of color, you want to show them off. And conversation is a song, and communication is a dance - body language is as readable as what you say, even more so. Women can tell when someone is lying or exagerating, just by how that person postures and presents. So what is the big deal? It becomes so obvious! We talk with everything now. It's how it needs to be done!

Men could read us better if they would just take the time to watch us and not just check out our chest and our legs.

Also, sitting close and leaning toward the plate? We women, when we accidtly drop a morsal of food, it tends to hit our breastline - so we lean forward to guard against that because we never want to touch ourselves in public like that, wipping off food - how humiliating.

And standing? Why NOT be artistic and graceful? We now have the attention of men. Give them a show... and other women? Women communicate between women without a word. Suddenly a person says - you look tired. What she means is your posture shows you are exhausted. Or in a line in the restroom waiting a turn, women know when to let someone go ahead because of - you know, something of an emergency is going on.

And when walking and you KNOW you look good! Strut your stuff, honey! That expensive outfit and those deliscious shoes need to be NOTICED. All day getting your hair colored and highlighted? Flip it, twirl it, experience it's weaight and it's new feel of the cut - you paid for it! And you suffered and shaved your legs - show them off!

But simple things - pushing the hair back? DANG - getting out of your mouth - clearing a veiw to see - making it reshape like it was cut to do...

Not doing hard work and charming your guy to carry things and open doors? It's your birthright od course, payback for all the restrictions put on womwn - BUT its also so you don't damage your pretty hands. I mean it is so easy to ruin an hour's worth of careful grooming - and you really DO have a problem with carrying too much - it is amazing how quickly your upper body strength went away after the HRT. It takes four trips to the trunk of the car to bring in the groceries - while a guy does it in one trip!

And crossing your legs, making a controlled entry and a controlled exit from the car? A woman has to do that. We wear skirts and dresses (soooo much more comfortable) but they well 'flash panties' if not handled correctly. And even in shorts, pants or jeans, we have to remain the proper lady, because it is how we have to act - so if in a dress or skirt, and it has to be second nature.

So it goes on and on... everything a woman does is for a reason - that is unless she feels like doing something just a bit unconventional to keep from being so predicatable! GRIN

Maybelline has an online app where you can upload an image or use your face real-time to try on makeup before you buy it.    I used the app on my teenage face and it works great.

We love udon noodles here! Sometimes we have the skinny Singaporean ones, sometimes we have rice, but those fat buggers are simply devine! 😍

My Gen Z transwoman roommate and my Gen X drummer roommate and I made two wonderful stir fry in the traditional wok on the high power propane burner on the back deck.  We splurged both times and had udon noodles in them with brussel sprouts, pepper and onions with a peanut and sesame sauce.   Been having them with seasoned white rice lately too.  I've been enjoying putting dill in them with the toasted sesame oil, turmeric and white pepper.

Good morning everyone,   It's grass cutting day here on our little corner lot. The sidewalk that goes along the south side of our house, leads to a city park so we get a ton of foot traffic on it. I keep the lawn mowed and the sidewalk edged for the best street appeal. Several in the neighborhood have said its the slowest part of the walk because they have to stop to look at the flowers or watch a bird at the feeder. All of the dogs know they have fun hugs coming from me if I'm in the yard, and the conversations with the neighbors also give their hearts a chance to reach a resting beat.   @April Marie while you're working on your tan, please don't forget sunscreen. @KymmieLgood luck with the job search, it's so stressful to be the punching bag at work. @WillowI've never sold a car to a friend or someone I knew. Buyer beware, sold as is.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

We pulled a leftover beef stir-fry out of the freezer. With Asian greens, noodles, cashews, all in a honey/sesame sauce.

Whether it is Sunday or not - may I ask, how long does the whole process take?    My every-morning basic 'beauty routine' - shave face/wash/hair/other grooming already takes over 10 minutes. My wife is basically beating down the door, lol!

We did pretty well for almost 40 years.   But by then we were kinda moving in different directions spiritually and on some other things.  I might have moved the most significantly.  I think my trans woman was trying to assert herself, although it still took a little more time for the egg to crack.     I was the one who moved out (although we had been sleeping in separate rooms for about a year).  I was satisfied to just be separated, but after a bit she filed for divorce.  I didn't contest it - our kids were all adults by then.  She remarried, I haven't.  Now her husband has died and she is back in this area.   Yeah, we are still friends, but sometimes it's hard for me if I've been around her.  I do miss her.  She uses my now name and gender for me.   I am lonely.  I think I could remarry, maybe, if I found the right person, but I don't see much chance of that.  I'm in my 70's, this is a pretty conservative area, and I am a transgender woman.  So this is how it is - at least for me.

That is am what I planning on. Take the defensive driving class after the conviction and all goes away aside from the fine I pay. My vehicle is a commercial vehicle (10,000+ pound diesel pickup truck with commercial plates), but since I exclusively use it for personal use so I do not need or have a CDL.

I seems like I am dreading going to my job more each day. So, I take it as a sign to jump ship. All the time I expect to be chastised. It is not a good way to have a job. I am on the hunt for a new one, however nothing has surfaced.   Kymmie

I'm currently on the ballot for an open US Representative seat in Portland Oregon.  Here are some of the news stories on me:   Rachel Lydia Rand on Ballotpedia: https://ballotpedia.org/Rachel_Rand#Campaign_themes KATU 2 (ABC) Know Your Candidates 2024: Rachel Lydia Rand https://www.katu.com/news/know-your-candidates/rachel-lydia-rand-d-congress-district-3 League of Women Voters Candidate Forum for US Representative https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOoS39CTEOw KOIN 6 Written Interview | top issues, what's going right https://www.koin.com/news/politics/rachel-rand-on-running-for-district-3-top-issues-whats-going-right/ League of Women Voter's Interview with Rachel Lydia Rand https://youtu.be/V5o9RKE3WVo     This is my third time running for US Rep.  Campaigning is very challenging for me because I only have two family members still alive and I've spent less than 2 weeks with them in my life and I have virtually no social network to start with and I don't belong to any social media sites.  I haven't even been able to post here and on sites like it because of rules about self-promotion.   I'm boldly saying in these videos that I want to be appointed to vice-president in the next 5 years.  My platform is about addressing climate change and everything that comes with it.  Population decline is the number one proposal I have and it is very, very scary and controversial for most people.  The way I see it is that oil is more than a fuel we burn in our cars, it's a substance we pave our roads with.  And it will run out, so at some point in the future, most of these roads are going to go away and we'll have a much harder time distributing food.  I play chromatic pennywhistle and I'm this iconic whistleblower politician saying that we will not be able to support 10 billion people at the end of the century on wind and solar power.  Even solar panels are made with oil and there isn't much difference between a wind turbine and a dam.  If we can build skyscrapers and nuclear power, then you'd think we'd be able to figure out how to make a wind turbine 100 years ago.  It's simply not as efficient.  The numbers I've crunched say that if we have one child for every two women for the next 40 years and then go back to normal replacement rate, we'll get our population down to 2 billion by 2099 which is where the world was at in 1950.  If we don't do that and stay on this current path for the projected 10 billion by 2100, then when oil runs out and climate change raises sea levels and floods coastal cities, humanity is going to be in a very uncivil situation.   I'm sorry that I'm not making a huge issue of transgender rights.  Of course I'm here to support our community.  I'd be highly visible on our national and international scene as a transwoman.  I tend to focus on engineering realities rather than these social issues.  It upsets me that people take engineering for granted.  People tend to just get in their cars and think that there will be some space age technical solution that will make it all OK.   OK, that's my rant for the day :-)  Coffee is on.  4:26am.  The ABC station is interviewing me again in a few hours and people can vote for me today.  Please consider spreading the word.  I'm only one person and it takes an incredible amount of effort to keep my political thinking and platform going.   Sincerely, Rachel Lydia Rand Jazz Musician | Software Engineer
