FPS: HALO.

I just can't get enough of designing my own games and stuff. It takes just the perfect amount of creativity and ingenuity for working within their system. I love it.

RTS: I can't really say.

I played Starcraft. That was a lot of fun, but I haven't really played anything since. I think Strategy in general would be a better choice. It would then include TBS's and I could say Advanced Wars, etc. I mean, I'm even designing my own board-based TBS right now. That probably says enough.

RPG: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

All the way. By far, my favourite game EVER. It was my entrance into the Elder Scrolls series when I started playing a couple years after it was released, and it stole my heart (I mean, just look at my username). So so SO much better than Oblivion!

If you are a RPG fan, and you haven't played Morrowind, seriously... do! If you can get past its aged gameplay and graphics (which, aside from the physics system, are the only things that Oblivion does better. But, if you play the PC version, you can probably find mods to quell any problems you have with it... graphics, gameplay, most anything, really), you will be entranced. The world is so immersive, the depth is amazing (but you would most likely need the guide to actually do everything well. The game is not for the casual player in that respect). Hopefully you'll find it as beautiful as I have.

Lets see the games that I have played recently- Aion, Heroes of Newerth, Starcraft, used to play WoW when it was hard, Counterstrike, Amplitude/Frequency (ps2, predates DDR and Guitar Hero). I stayed away from consoles save the 2 ps2 games listed.

I can go on and on but I like these for the most part. Games used to be my escape, for a long time. Now I don't play so much. Its still fun but its so frustrating.

Eh I play all kinds of games, mostly I fall back on my emulators like gameboy games I had and nes stuff but today I've been playing half life all day. Running through hl2 cause it all of a sudden decides to stop doing the vista blue ring of death. Used to play a ton of wow, lately just Lord of the rings online. Really just waiting for that to go free to play so I get back at it lol.

Overall

FPS-Half life is my favorite I've played.

RPG- I like the older final fantasy games, ff7 and 8 being my favorites. Chrono Cross extremely fun, Morrowind and Oblivion were fantastic. Morrowind being obviously better :P

Fighters-I used to play alot of mortal kombat but that got very old for me when my brother just spammed the raiden flying attack nonstop.

Wut no platformers on the list? Gah the beginning of good gaming >.> lol well guess that's other.

Other-Super mario world 3 epic awesome don't care who you are, best mario game out there. Super mario World follows close in hand :P

I just love my emulators though, nothing like curling up in your hoodie and playin some Legend of zelda or Ultima runes of virtue for the game boy :)

I don't game all that much anymore, but of those categories I've only really liked RTS, RPG, and puzzle games. I also like music games, which were not listed. At times, I've done a bit of social FPS when I went to the LAN center in my college town, but I never played them without friends.

RTS - Primarily Starcraft with a little Warcraft thrown in

RPG - Dragon Age: Origins is a lot of fun (as was Neverwinter Nights) and I'm a big fan of the SNES-PS1 age of console RPGs

Puzzle - There haven't been any good puzzle games that I can remember since the original NES, but Adventures of Lolo 1-3 will always hold a special place in my heart :)

Music - I still play RockBand 1-2 and DDR

I love gaming, originally just cause I liked it, then as a sort of escapism from the horrible nature of reality. Recently become really involved with it though on a play-it-for-fun level rather than to escape. :)

Anyway, I used to play loads of RTS games but I eventually lost most of my interest in them moving on to playing RPGs alot more. Started of with the Final Fantasy games and gradually grew increasingly weary of their combat systems, the stories and characters though were lovely! Lost interest in that series with FFX however... though that was fine as I had started playing more western RPGs by then. Morrowind I spent soooo much time playing. I literally filled the PC up with mods for it lol. Erm, anyway, so RPGs are my favorite followed by FPSs (online only really) and some stealth games (Thief series! <3). I'm also a long time fan of the Tenchu series, though Assassin's Creed has kinda replaced that now as Tenchu doesn't evolve or improve enough.

Mostly play on the PS3 as I'm not a fan of the Xbox chat features (I don't do voice chat, for obvious reaons). Takes so long just to view and reply to messages, bleh! So mostly PS3. I used to play MMOs alot and loved them because console games are not much good for roleplaying sadly, with others anyway. WoW, Lotro and AoC were my MMOs. :)

Rpg games are just the best.

Currently playing Dragon age, i will not tell you how many times i've completed it so far because i'll look like an addict :P

Other favorites include neverwinter nights, 1&2 plus all expansions, Baldurs gate (if any rpg fan has not played this game, why not?), final fantasy 7 (still the best one imo)

I think i may have played warcraft once or twice too.

For RTS games my current fave is Dawn of war soulstorm, or Dawn of war2, lost many hours to the C&C franchise as well.

FPS: Star Wars Battlefronts

Halo Reach Currently my addiction, a buddy and I beat the campaign on normal and are going through it on Legendary now. Plus the daily challenges have me plugging away trying to unlock stuff.

Other: Rockband 2 great party game, I can't wait to try out RB3 in person.

Puzzle: Best description for metroid and zelda, outside of "adventure".

RPG: Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, etc...

Other: Platformers (mario), zelda (whatever that is), random little applications such as painting studios, music studios, etc.

...and I get called a game-nerd...

I just play zelda, pokemon, mario and metroid... D:

of course, there is the odd game i play in between instalments (currently monster hunter tri, but it's getting boring...)

I hate shooters...

FPS: Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2. Valve is great

RTS: Dawn of War. I didn't get dow2, though.

Puzzle: Portal

RPG: Oblivion, Morrowind, Guild Wars, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Sacred

Fighting: Almost all of the above

Reasons: TF2 is so fun to play, especially with good communication, or when everyone just messes around with HLDJ, or spycrabs. L4d2 versus is great, but it sucks how you can't get achievements with the gore enabled on the AU version. Portal is a very interesting idea, which has been expanded upon in portal 2, though I haven't played P2. I played morrowind ages ago, and got oblivion as soon as it came out, then returned it and bought it again in GOTY when I had a computer that could run it. Sacred kept me and my family occupied for years! The main shortcoming is multiplayer, since you can't all receive skills for quest rewards like in Diablo 2. VtMB has good vampires, and that's all I need. Dawn of war I played because it's wh40k.

I hated KotOR and Starcraft, due to stalemates in multiplayer occurring too often, and KotOR because I had to tell my party exactly what to do, which was also why I don't like baldur's gate.

I play many many games but right now it's been mostly fps, shooters, rpg, Platformers, and Survival horror games.

FPS: I'm starting to lose my love for this genre because it seems to be the only games that are being made. But I do like Team Fortress 2, Perfect Dark, and Duke Nukem 3D. I also like the Halo games too.

RPG: They are ok, I like the action oriented RPG style like that of the new Parasite Eve game on the PSP but I do like some of the turn based ones too. My favorites are Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario 1 and 2, Fable, and the Parasite Eve games.

Other - Platformers. These games are my favorite video game genre, they are just so much fun to play and many of the animal characters are cute too. The latest Platformer game I played was Croc 2 (I finally beat it :) ).

Other - Survival Horror games. I love playing these games late at night with all the lights out, it makes the atmosphere even creepier. My favorite Survival Horror games are the Fatal Frame games, and Silent Hill 1 - 3.

Other - Beat em ups games. Some of these can be quite fun. I really like Battle Toads and Double Dragons, as well as God Hand, and Breakdown.

Anyone surprised that most transgender gamers like to play RPG's ? I can definitely relate to losing one's self in a game, hence the more comfortable I am with expressing myself, the less I feel like playing games.

I must admit though, Vampire: Bloodlines was fantastic. Buggy as hell, but superb story line and vocal acting.

Everything that @MaybeRob said above is spot on with me too. The changes are much more subtle the older you start. I started HRT at 56 and of the feminine physical changes I experienced from HRT, 80% of all my changes happened by my 3 year mark. The other 20% of the changes are continuing still.   The feminine results I still see change happening in include: reduced and thinning arm, leg, and body hair, body fat redistribution to my hips and butt. There may be still some minor facial fat redistribution but at this point it’s getting harder to tell. The facial fat redistribution started after year 1. Also, I’m still on Progesterone which was added into my HRT regimen after year 1. I believe that is responsible for increasing the size and darkening the color of my nipples to a much more feminine look. I was happy about those changes because my BA procedure alone did nothing to improve that aspect of my breasts. I will be getting off Progesterone at the end of this year now that it has done its job. I will be 6 years on HRT this September. I’m guessing I may have a year or two left before all the expected changes will have occurred.   Hope that helps a little, Susan R🌷

Trans Group Zoom Meeting Tomorrow!!   It’s almost time for another Zoom Meet-up and I’m sure it’ll be another entertaining time to get together with others from our community. As usual, these meeting can last up to 4 hours or longer. Come when you can and leave whenever you want. The start times are listed below.   If you need a Zoom Link, Message me as soon as possible as I will be gone early all day tomorrow (Sat.). I will PM you a link here before I leave for the day tomorrow. See you all next week.   Have Fun! Susan R🌷   From Zoom Host AllieJ: We had 15 at our last zoom of April, with great discussions as usual. When there are this many people attending, we have to be a little stricter with keeping our talking time short and watching for hands up so everybody can contribute. Best is to use the electronic ‘Raise Hand’ so it is more visible.    Trans Group Zoom Meeting Times: May 4, 2024 6:00 PM Pacific Time May 4, 2024 8:00 PM Central Time May 5, 2024 11:00 AM Australia/Melbourne

Wow, Birdie, I hope you get better soon.  At least the nurses figured out that you're not their standard patient.  Hopefully they treat you right.     I wish my husband would replace our stoves.  Of course we use propane, being way out of town, but they're old.  They are supposed to use a battery igniter, but one hasn't worked in years.  There's actually a hole sawed in the bottom plate of the oven where I stick a match.  And the other one had some sort of valve problem, and couldn't get the parts.  I was hoping for a new stove, but I got to watch in awe and dismay as my husband made a "something" with a piece cut from a roll of bulk automotive gasket material.  It works, no leaks.  But I swear we don't replace anything here until it is absolutely dead.  With my luck, that will be another 20 years on those stoves.      I don't complain much, but I wish I had some nicer kitchen things.  Nobody understands that if I'm serving dinner for 36 people, cooking on sheetmetal plates or using stuff from a 1980s junkyard is a bit....suboptimal.  When I mention it, I get lengthy apocalyptic tales of the deprived life in Argentina or Mexico or "In Soviet Union, stove cooks you..."  Thanks, GF.  Or maybe I'm just too spoiled?

I do the best I can to 'Pass' and I think I have become better at feminizing my appearance ... But, I have also come to realize that no matter how much I feel I pass, it's more up to the individual I interact with than with my efforts and appearance. If they are self-aware humans they will see me as I truly am ... and then I will receive a compliment, or a 'Ma'am', or just a friendly smile.  That's all I really need.
    • MaybeRob
In my case, at almost 9 months, most changes have been very subtle. I was 60 when I started, and overweight. Also, I am not very observant when it comes to changes. In the last 3 months I have been on T blockers and breast growth have definitely started having suffered irregular "ouchies", but at the same time I have been slowly losing fat, so Bust measurements have not changed. What has changed in the density, I can feel a difference. Face wise the skin feels softer, and my lashes seem to be more visible. Head hair regrowth is a maybe- maybe not situation.  I do have to select men's clothing carefully to camouflage the change in breast shape. I guess I'm still at the not passable as a female stage especially with no makeup. I'm also over 6 foot and well over 100kgs which I guess is problematic to start with!   Hope this helps somewhat   Kate .

I started feminizing HRT about 6-7 weeks ago. I began with what I called the beginner's patch. I immediately found myself wanting to level up to the next dose and did that this week (yay!). So far, I am enjoying the ride.   I've read everything I can find on this topic. For the HRT vets on here, what is reasonable to expect in terms of physical changes for someone starting in their 50s? I know "your mileage may vary." I guess I am curious if I stay on my current trajectory for six months, a year, multiple years, how pronounced will the physical changes be? Will I reach a point where it is totally obvious or will I land in a "middle zone" somewhere in which I could pass either way?   Thanks! Like I said I am enjoying the ride so far and always curious to know others' experiences. Not sure anyone else in my life will be excited about these moves I am making, but I have been over that in many places on here already so need to rehash... Love and blessings to all!   Easy

Being admitted into the hospital after a long ER visit. I started passing lots of blood and they are keeping me for observation.    Nurse came in to see about a condom catheter, that of course doesn't work on me. 🤣   She said, "I guess we will use incontinence supplies on you."
    • Ivy
Yeah.  I think this is what it is about.  Since they are not transgender, nobody else could possibly be either.  I'm not sure that a cisgender person can understand being transgender.  But that hardly means that a transgender person's experience is not real - just because it is not theirs. Why is a transgendered person's experience not valid, while a cisgendered person's is?  Why should it be the cisgendered person that decides? Nobody is forcing a cis person to transition.  What I do for myself is my own business.

Decided to head for Lowes after work early and bought a new stove. Was in stock and put it back of my truck.Luckily a neighbor of mine whom does appliance repair did come to remove the connection and convert the stove to natural gas in the new one.Was set up for propane.Happy with it and the scrap metal guy came to pick up my old one.He was happy to get it,said he needed one more to make it a load in his trailer full of junk appliances

I've been thinking it is a matter of belief.  They simply do not believe someone can validly be transgender and should not be allowed to practice their beliefs, but should be forced to practice their belief, that is, that there is no such thing as transgender and it is all mental illness/sin/hormonal imbalance.
    • KatieSC
I am really kind of sick of everybody who is not transgender deciding on what we need and do not need in the way of procedures. They act like all of this is play acting, and we can just apply cosmetics to our entire body. It might be refreshing if someone asked us directly what services we need in order to transition. I could say more as I am frustrated, but I do not want to violate the TOS.
