Fun With Names

Okay, so I have wanted to keep a part of my given name, specifically my initials (J.D.) in my middle name. Kind of my way of saying he's gone but not forgotten.

So I've narrowed it down to two that keep the JD and one J name I just like. So if y'all could spare a moment and give me your opinions on the matter, I would appreciate it. Being a flibbertigibbet, sometimes I have a hard time making my mind up about things. So, the choices are:

  1. Virginia Jayde
  2. Virginia Jayne
  3. Virginia Jordan

Or, if you have any better ideas, I'm still open.

thanks!!!

I really love the way that Virginia Jayne flows together. It's a very beautiful combination. But it looks like I'm already the minority.laugh.gif

I appreciate all input, and the voting is early yet

Virginia Jade. It's so poetic! I like the firm "d" ending; it's like a pretty bow on a package, the perfect final touch. Virginia Jayne sounds very blurred together to me, more like mumbling than like poetry. Same with Virginia Jordan. And in general, I think a single-syllable middle name sounds more attractive than a two-syllable one behind a three-syllable first name. That's just me, though. =)

..

I know...I know......

Virginia Jean...

YEAH! THAT'S IT!

Donna Jean

I thought about that, I did :D While lovely, it does not feed my Anglophilia.

But spiritually, I will always be Vee Jay to your Dee Jay :D :D

love ya!

I like the Jayde.

of course Virginia Jayde Jean works too. :D My daughter has 2 middle names. Both grandmothers wanted in on the act and her dad refused to use either for a first name.

Then they got in a snit over which middle name came first.

But adding a name for the awesome Dona Jean that would be cool.

It could start a whole new trend

John James Jean

What do you think? I could go to 3J for a signature.

And you could be VJJ.

:D

Actually, assuming my wife is still along for the ride, I'll be taking her maiden name as a second middle name.

As for VJJ? If you think about it for too long it becomes a bit unfortunate

love ya!

Anyone ever notice how many here on Laura's have "J" as part of their name? My last nane for example. Sally's last name - Dee Jay's name... John's - so many

It seems interesting it workes out that way... but I guess when you potentially have six names it is likely one starts with 'J'
