But what about the living?

Our lives are quietly desperate.

Should we not rage instead?

Should I wait until the end of it

Before I raise my head

And I’m not afraid of the dark

Except that should the lights go out

And I have lived without feeling

My light

And

My rage

And

My gentle heart

If I have lived without living

Then what I do when I lay dying

Will not matter.
