Hr 3200 Page 972, Trans Surgery?

Ok so for months on end ive been looking over this bill. In my opinion, this is basically what i see, and what all the controversy has apparently been about including trans people in recent months.

TITLE IV—QUALITY AND

2 SURVEILLANCE

IN GENERAL.—The Director shall

21 prioritize areas for the identification, development,

22 evaluation, and implementation of best practices or

24 quality improvement activities in the delivery of health care services

‘‘(ii) include standards, as appropriate, for

16 the collection of accurate data on health and

17 health care by race, ethnicity, primary and

18 guage, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity,

19 disability, socioeconomic status, rural, urban, or

20 other geographic setting, and any other popu

21 lation or subpopulation determined appropriate

22 by the Secretary;

So to me it seems they will set up an overseer for what areas of health care need to be improved apon and the quality of the care that that area is receiving.

The way they come to this conclusion is in the second paragraph. This is all covered under the title QUALITY and SURVEILLANCE.

Looks to me that at least our voice is at least being heard on a national scale. Regardless of how this gets spun once or if the bill is actually implemented.

Missouri just passed a 1 yr law stating that they will not be taking place in the bill. Next yr that proposition will once again be up for vote, and every consecutive yr untill they decide to take it off the ballet.

So what is everyones thoughts on this? How do you think this will play out? If it goes badly then the costs of things could be worse, on the other hand it could be opposite. So far this is the only place in the bill that i can find anything of the sort. So as limited as it is, I think that it should be taken into serious consideration.
