They didn't try to tell you that the GoLyghtly is better if it's chilled first, did they?

Best of luck tomorrow! Things will go great, and you'll have a new outlook next time you post!

 OH......MY.........GOD. This stuff is awful! Kill me now! It tastes like lemonade made with salt instead of sugar, and 40 year old lemons that have been stored in a well-used toilet. I puked after the second glass!

No, hon, the liquid is supposed to come out the back way, not the front way. I think you read the directions wrong.

Well, just remember its for a good cause, and pour yourself another tasty glass. I'll bet you never have another lemonade in your life. ;)

Good luck and may the Goddess smile on you tomorrow, Kairi.

I feel asleep during Colbert tonight - I was exhausted but then I don't have the same level of excitement about another day at work.

You, however have every right to be very excited and you should be!

Marci is a very nice lady, everyone I know who has gone to her tells me about how much they loved her presence, she makes a somewhat scary time just a little bit better and helps you to relax a bit.

Get some sleep - although you will be doing a lot of that during the surgery - Marci is the one that has to stay awake.

Love ya,

Sally

Well, this is it! It's 4am. I'm going through my morning routine for the last time. I haven't eaten anything substantial for about 36 hours. I've had nothing to eat or drink at all since long before midnight. I can't even chew gum. I'm packing up, getting ready to check out of the hotel and go meet Janet at the lobby.

I love you all! Thank you for all your support, and I'll see you on the other side!

I've hear the nurses are fantastic in Trinidad. I'm hoping they are treating you well Kelise and you now have everything you wished for. May you have a speedy recovery and live a wonderful woman's life with a caring mate. I really am happy for you.

Kairi will probably update later if shes awake enough, yesterday she got back to her room about noon, and slept the day was still on a liquid diet, im hoping today they will put her on solids a little bit. She was sleeping all day cause of the anesthesia and pain meds. The surgery was about 5 hours. I wont say much more cause I know shes going want to tell you all but I wanted to just calm everyones nerves and update u all thats shes doing fine.

Wonderful! Terrific news, and thank you!

Yes, solid food should be back today, and I'll bet Kelise will be very happy to see it! It's pretty decent food there, too.

Update! Surgery Day! So, I got up at 330. Got dressed and checked out. I met Janet in the lobby, who took me to the hospital. I was taken to my room, a private one. I was given an enima (Yaaaaay!). Then I was taken to pre-op. They started my I.V. and wrapped me in hot blankets. Then the waiting. Dr Bowers came in and said hi. Finally the Anesthesiologist came and took me to the O.R. They gave me a shot of "the good stuff" and started hooking up the sensors. The anesthesis asked me if the cocktail was working yet. I said, "No...ohhhh, there goes!"lol. I remember the mask going over my face, then I was waking up in my room. I asked for Marissa, and she was there! OMG! She had decided to surpise me and flew out while I was in surgery. She will be here taking care of me until Mon morning. I love her so much! I don't really remember much else, as I was asleep the rest of the day. I can't quite feel any difference yet. i have a lot of packing down there, and am definately expeiencing "Phanntom Limb". I'm full of Morphine. Oxygen tube in my nose. There's a drain coming from somewhere, and of course my catheter. Last night the nurse said my pee looked really good. I said "Now there's a compliment you don't hear everyday!" Ok, gonna go back to sleep now.

Kairi, you're amazing. Body full of morphine and stuff, and you actually wrote a totally coherent post. Wow!

Your news is fantastic, and all I can say is CONGRATS!

The hard part is over, so let the healing begin. You are 100 per cent woman, now, Kairi. How very wonderful. :D

Get some rest, hon. Be well.

Good morning :)   I have coffee today, but the cup keeps leaking (I guess the cap isn't able to fully seal or something), so I keep having to wipe up the sides lol   Almost finished all my missing work for school, which means if I do a bit more work, I should be out of trouble with my parents (not even that bad of trouble compared to when I was younger, more just an annoyance haha)

Good morning 😘   Finished packing up my kitchen and pantry for fumigation today. I also modified my backpack to make it day-centre compliant.  I was able to get almost 2 hrs sleep last night, so I'll survive. 😑

I'll be going to some Pride events as a spectator.  Maybe marching in a parade if they have open participation.    The event we'd prefer to go to is held in a small town with a population of less than 600.  They have a parade through all three blocks of their downtown area.  Unfortunately, this year it is on the same day as a memorial service for a friend who passed away this winter, so we'll have to miss it.  So our second choice is a larger town, population about 9000, a bit farther away.    And we are keeping our eyes open for other events in the general area as they are announced.   I dress a bit flashier than normal, with some trans bling, such as rainbow or trans flag earrings, a trans symbol pendant, and a handheld trans flag to wave.  Political sentiment is turning against us, but public sentiment here is still strongly on our side, so getting out and showing the flag, both literally and figuratively, is important.

I had that going on with my last two partners who were 20 years older than me.  One of them looked older for her age as well.  I remember a couple times being in the grocery store a decade ago and having people ask "can I help you ladies with something?" and then I'd turn around with my red beard.  Well before I started transitioning, but my partner knew I was trans back then.   I struggle with this as well.  My music and political career can have a masculine edge to it that I don't like.  It's been really frustrating lately.  I don't like pushing myself on others or telling people what to do.  I've been running a website for 25 years and have virtually never tried to promote it or even look at any analytics.  I don't want to push it on anyone.  I put what I have on it and make it publicly available.  It's part of my production process.  It keeps me sane and if someone else can find it useful, then I'm happy to share.

I'm curious, but then if I am true to myself, I have a hard time being in crowds.  I love hearing great music, but being in an audience is such a turnoff for me that I don't go to concerts or bars.  I'm just very much a producer.  I actually like doing the dishes more than going to concerts because it's an active thing.

My therapist is trying a new tact. I've named my self protection self that ssays not eating or too much exercise because when I starting because oftrauma my protective self started and also at the time the name Shay came to me and is now part of my name.  It's not like having a split personality, just my primative self protection who is always there to help me. My therapist has Shay, me and him working as a team to assure her that I am safe and to start changing her role in my life so I protect me by eating right and exercising to maintain a heathy body. It is helping a little but we just started this a few weeks ago.
