A Few Updates

I have heard that injections of estrodiol valerate is the best way to take hormones. The main reason I've read is that it will more feminize you. I must have called six endocrinologists in town and not one give injections for MTF. One gives injections for FTM. So I guess I'm going to have to take the pill. I've seen some of the results here and it's sure worked out for many. Although I might try Phoenix.

I think it's funny that in female mode some areas you shop in feel awkward. One of them is buying beer. I can't think of a better way (well except for taking hormones) to keep me from drinking any alcohol then being dressed up in female mode. Of course I've stopped anyway, not just because of making sure I pass the blood word, but also because I want the hormones to have full effect.

One of my GG girlfriends told me the reason women try to look pretty is to attract men. I always try to look pretty so I can pass. I guess there has to be a good middle ground where either you don't look like a pretty woman or a pretty transsexual. Or maybe wear a fake wedding ring if you are not married and don't want to get hit on atm.

Even though I am excited about the changes soon coming. I'm also becoming a little nervous. There are going to be massive changes, and I wonder if I can keep up with them and might get over my head and lost. I guess we all have doubts from time to time. I'm sure many have had doubts right before the beginning of physical transition and wondering if you are doing the right thing. I've been in male mode for 50, almost 51 years, and this is all going to be new. New in the physical, social, and emotional aspect. This is going to take a lot of courage.

I see my GT on Monday and this should be the last time before I receive my recommendation letter. I'm praying that everything goes smoothly. It really looks like at work it's going to be ok. Many suspect I'm trans and others know something is up. I really don't think there is going to be a big surprise when I come out to the staff.

That's all for now

Thanks for the update, Jennifer.

Good stuff happening for you, hon, and I'm glad.

I've heard others say that they had a hard time finding a doctor willing to do shots of E. It seems to vary a lot among endos. But pills and patches are both very effective, so I wouldn't stress over it. I think the main advantage of shots is that the effects are faster, but

that's all.

Actually, the patch is a good way to receive your medication. Taken orally, in pill form, the E has to go through the liver and this can be hard on the liver.

Patches dose it into the bloodstream and are easier on the liver. Patches are much more expensive, pills can be bought in the right places cheap. The dosage from patches are extremely level, compared to shots or pills, so peaks and valleys are minimized.

Either way, you'll eventually turn into a girl. :D

Hugs,

Becky

Jennifer, Dear Heart.....

LOL...yes there will be massive changes to you, but they won't hit on Mondy at 12:35....

It happens slowly over time and you have plenty of time to get used to them...

But, you do have to watch because one day many months later, you'll look in the mirror and wonder where that woman came from!

Hang in there, Baby...you're gonna be just fine!

Dee Jay is correct in that it doesn't happen overnight. You will notice the girls first and then the skin will soften. After that you will slowly start to see the figure and face start to change. It is all a process and takes time to start to show up.

Good Luck and don't worry you will be ok.

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
