Prelude to a New Life

A love so deep,

a love so lost,

holding you so close,

yet never realizing the cost.

The price you pay,

seeking the truth,

finding all of this pain,

while depressed and confused.

The longer the road,

the farther we go,

our hands held tightly,

but who should all know?

In the river of life,

the waters are rough,

staying near the shore,

will never be enough.

Spreading our wings,

taking hold of the wind,

soaring through life,

a love without end.
