Hi, this is Alex :-) I am really nervous. And need to apologise to Laura for not reading the how-to posts :-) My brain totally fuzzed out when I read all the options for saying how I identify myself. FTM? Transgender? Just like wearing guy's clothes? Anyway, I've got a lot to talk about but won't bug people with that now. It's fairly late at night where I am. Just wanted to say hi.

Hi Alex,

Welcome to Laura's! Nice to have you join in. There is a lot of useful information on site, plus many wonderful people here that one can get to know through polite conversation.

I am glad you got through the nerves to post here. I was really nervous myself back in May when I joined. We look forward to hearing more from you. Please post more as you are comfortable in doing so.

Thanks everyone :-) And I promise to go read ALL the pinned stuff, rsn. (Mm, good lemonade.) What I've read of the rules so far seems just common sense, and making you post five times before you get full access is going to make sure you mean it.

I've always been the kind of kid called a "tomboy" and remember feeling really rotten when the boys wouldn't let me play with them. I didn't wear dresses or skirts except at school (uniform) or when my mother pushed me into it. She'd buy me stuff or make me stuff and then make me wear "the nice clothes" going out. I don't think I'll ever tell her I really don't feel female at all. She wanted a daughter - I'm an adopted child so you can't get more deliberately chosen than that - and she couldn't handle it.

As an adult, I wear what I want, and though I do buy clothes mostly from the F sections, it's because I know how to and I know the sizes. What I pick is always males-imitation. I've been thinking about trying to get more properly male clothes.

I became conscious over only the past few years that I really disliked being CALLED female, with all the forms of address people use. I hate strangers in shops calling me "love" and "darling," though I've got no idea whether a genetic boy might get that treatment from an older woman. I don't like my mother calling me "sweetheart" and "darling" when that's the last thing I feel like. Inside I know that I can't object, that in her world, there's no reason for me to do so.

Sometimes I pass without trying to, I guess because of my mannerisms and what I wear. I'll get called "sir" on a train, say, or at a fast food outlet. Often on the phone, because my voice is quite low. And I realised I got a kick out of that and that perhaps enjoying this mistake wasn't "normal." Once on a bus, I helped out two elderly ladies in front of me with some information and heard one tell another friend that "this boy's kindly told us how we get there." Oh wow. Alex rules!

Thanks to all for the great welcome. I've been pretty busy in RL so haven't got back here like I meant to. I want to ask some of the guys some questions in the transgender forum, but just one here for starters: When I read the options for, um, classifying yourself, I wasn't sure if I should say FTM or transgender. Is it that FTM means you're actively transitioning and transgender is more you feel you already are that sex, whether you're seeking surgery or not?

Thanks

Alex

My kitty has a litter box, which she uses on occasion.  But she prefers to make me get up to led her out. I could install a "cat door" but I'm afraid it would be used more by the possums and raccoons.  I have had possums in the house more than once - even without one.

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
