Does Kicking A Ball Around Seem Like A Good Exercise?

That sounded odd..

I want to play kick ball, by myself. And by "kick ball" I quite literally mean just kicking a ball around. I used to do that as a kid a lot.

I'm on thyroid medicine so I'm pretty sure that I'll actually lose weight this time. I want to lose..

Oh, 65 pounds by September 2011. My doctor said try to in three years, but I want to do it quicker.

I don't want to go on a diet, I believe in changing your diet but I can't do that as a minor so I'll refuse. Plus I'm not a heavy eater; I hate junk food.

I want to go to my local gym too, since it is easy access to dumbbells. But...

Yea. What do you think?

Any physical activity can count as exercise, it just depends on how energetically you do it. If you are kickin' that ball around like ya mean it, it will have far more effect than even the most extravagant piece of fitness equipment that you just kinda ho-hum on. Whatever you decide to go with, just make sure you stick with it and I'm sure you'll be losing lbs in no time. \o/

Guest some ftm guy

if you just walk around slowly, lightly kicking the ball and drag your feet around then no, I'd barely count it as excersize if you want to lose weight/build muscle etc. you'll have to really be into it which sounds like you are so it's all good. have fun :)
