Sorrow pulls from the back of my life, my heart

I felt everything was perfect like a fresh new start

It is but one thing right doesn't fix everything wrong

It's a sand castle of dreams just washed off along

The sea takes it

But I struggle

A sea of healed slits

Beckons the knife's tremble

No ring, no love, no man can erase all the hurt

But the warmth of his embrace gives me somewhere to turn

A candle lit when my candle is out, granting visibility

Yes, visibility, even if it's only him who really sees me

Actually you write it better than I do in my humble opinion. It was for my fiance. But there's more to it. In the majority of Milwaukee's trans community, I still feel invisible as chicana. I feel like sometimes the only one who really sees me is my fiance.

I agree with Dee Jay in that he sees you. That is the first step. Now the second is everyone else seeing the girl in you. You will get there. It just takes time.
