Not Feminine Enough For Full Time?

Recently what's been troubling me a lot is that I'm not sure if I'm feminine enough to go full time or talk to people about being transsexual. Many people I talk to say they have always liked boys, they fit in a lot bitter with girls they are very chatty etc. I've never really been like that, I get on with women but never really fit in with them more than just friends.

I just really admire women and see my male life falling apart while my female life is slowly taking shape. I'm always using my female name on forums and acting female over the internet. I'd even like to close my male face book account and stop using anything that reminds me of my male self what so ever because its just depressing.

Whats worrying is that maybe I'm using this as an escape instead of a return to my true self. Anybody got any ideas?

I don't think anybody can tell you something like that about yourself. I am sure that asking in a forum such as this you will find some to say they have very similar feelings and I expect some of those have gone full time. That means nothing as far as you. It can be an escape, it can be a nice idea.

I always suggest working with a therapist to figure out what is happening with you. Much better to do that now rather than at some point when you have convinced yourself on one specific thing.

Real Life Test or Real Life Experience should be experienced under the care and guidance of a qualified gender therapist. If you find yourself expressing differently in different contexts (online for example) then I would examine why you are expressing yourself as you do.

Going out in public expressed as your true gender is something that many if us have experienced (I have experienced). Regardless, this experience does not imply that I have satisfied the RLT requirement for transitioning fully.

Honey, you are at the stage of exploring :) That is very OK! Please do not read too much into your behavior online or your desire to remove your account. What is so very important is that you are comfortable with who you are and your gender identity. Never, ever feel that any expression is wrong. Being transgendered is extremely complex and no single action or thought explains who you are.

In short, you are fine in what ever you do :)

Love

Brenda
