Starting Hormones In Mid-Twenties?

Hi there,

I'm still fairly new to the forum but had a topic that I've been thinking about a lot. Next month I'll be getting anti-androgens finally and as a 25 year old I was wondering if anyone (based on experience) had any idea how well they could work around this point in someone's life? I know I'm lucky to start fairly young, but I hear this is also an age at which the effects start to drop off? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Ciao!

Katherine, i started hormones at 56 and have gotten good results, the two people that live with me are both 25, both MtF, started hormones over 2 years ago, both pass really well, genetics also plays a part in it, YMMV.

As i always say it is so much more than looking female, blending in with others your age, mannerisms and voice all play a part in a successful transition, i have seen lots of genetic women that do not pass but you know they are women.

Age 20, 25, 30, 35? Drop off in effectivness is probably less than the individual variation. No huge diff to worry about in my opinion
