Hi CDers,

I can't remember reading this anywhere, but do some of you polish toe nails?

I'm thinking about trying it?

Eveanna :)

Hi Eveanna, I have thought about it for as long as I can remember.Problem is that I teach beginner Karate. I think my toes would stand out a little to much. I have been wanting to have a pedicure. More and more guys are doing it and I could have some clear polish put on. I have mentioned this to my wife ,but as usual she pretends to not hear me.......Sandy

I tend to put off clipping my nails, so once my wife sarcastically told me I should paint my nails if I was going to keep them that long, so I did! Kept them painted for about a week until she had enough and told me to stop being stupid...

It was a lot of fun to have them pink for a week. I wish I could do it more often!

I've done it before since nobody ever sees them, and thus don't ask questions. However, it loses its novelty because of just that, nobody seeing them. That's why I generally do my fingernails; black generally, since it's more or less the only 'accepted' colour for boys, although I've done them dark blue before, and even pink for a few days, although that last one got me a few looks. Toes just aren't as much fun :P

I go to my nail salon once a month for a

Pedicure

Toe nail polish - usually bright Red or Pink

Manicue

Fill - I have long acrylic nails

Nail polish - usually a pale Pink

Eyebrows Waxed/Plucked/Shaped/Trimed

Two hours of pure bliss. BTW no one at the nail salon cares that I get my toes/nails polished. I have even had customers give me positive comments about my choice of colors and etc.

I'm an MtF, and not a crossdresser, but yes I do paint my toenails! :D My wife really doesn't care, and one day my neighbor came over and I had forgotten all about not wearing shoes. I opened up the front door, and his eyes went to my feet. :P

Hugs & Kisses,

Aeron

I like to paint my toe nails every now and then. Sometimes i leave them painted for several days on end and no-one knows except me. I guess it's the closest i can come to expressing my femininity without any danger of exposure. :o

I painted my toenails yesterday. The only thing that sucks about painting my nails is that I can't wear sandals/crocs out of the house. But I guess going out with painted nails is a stepping stone for eventually going out in public dressed up (well maybe some day...definitely not in the near future, way too shy to be that bold yet).

Usually mine are painted. Doesn't have the appeal it used to... I ALWAYS wear socks, I just can't stand anything touching my feet XD So no one suspects if I walk out of my room when I wake up with just a tshirt, underwear and socks on XD

I just started putting clear on my finger nails though, it makes me nervous!

Hi, B)

I have recently been getting pedicures, the manacurist will automatically put a tinted or clear coat on them. When I come home when they have had time to set I bufff the shine off. It give them a nice look without drawing attention to them. I also wear acrylic nails kept to a respectable length, polished with a pink tint and clear top coat. Every now and then I get compliments on them from women. I have a tendency to bite my nails this is the only way I keep from chewing on them.

My toenails are polished all the time. Feel naked without it. I have drawn compliment about them mostly from women.

Yea my wife and I make a night out of it. She does mine and I do hers, its fun and if we turn off the tv it gives us time to chat. Sometimes I do get funny looks at the gym but I don't care.

I've thought about it. I kinda want to, but never really did it. Well, actually I lied. When I was little, around 5 or 6, my mom would let me paint my nails sometimes. But then we would wash it off.

I have as long as I can remember. Currently they are bright red. It's just something normal for me.. the only colour about me are lips, fingers and toes.

Go for it.. Truth or Dare is a good excuse as is "the wife did it while we were playing last night". It's not the statement that painting your fingernails is.

OLD TOPIC

Glad to see it!

My answer - ALWAYS. It what we women do.

And I keep clear on my fingernails - helps keep them from splintering - makes them easier to maintain - and it looks good... a matte finish, not that noticable if you are still in the closet. But people notice 'something' is going on and your hands look cared for. It helps your self-image too.

Toenails? Look groomed and sexy!

This is fantastic, We're adding a Boxer to our family sometime this evening or tomorrow. His name is Parker. We'll be crate training him as well as introducing him to two cats that have never been around a dog.   Pictures to follow later,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I still don't understand how any queer people can vote for these people.  I'll just leave it at that.

Thanks Kathy!    Some place where the peer pressure is to dress more feminine instead of less.  Imagine that. I haven't left the house in fem clothing since an outing to a local LGBT club over 15 years ago.   She's also pointed me to some support groups so that's next as well.     And for those who noticed, yes, I committed a rather egregious grammatical error in my post, but I couldn't figure out how to edit it.  That stuff bugs me to death. Geez Louise .

Just more of the same.  Unfortunately, I'm coming to expect it.

Everybody doesn't feel this way. As a AMAB child (in the 50's) I don't think I questioned my body, but I was quite fascinated with girl stuff.  When puberty hit I really wished I was a girl - but alas - I was stuck living as a guy.  As an adult I had pretty bad  homophobia, which was probably internalized transphobia, but I didn't really know what transgender was at the time.  And by then I was locked into a marriage and family. I lived like that for most of my life, and convinced myself (but not my wife) that I was happy.  When we were in our 60's, the marriage fell apart.  And I believe a large part of that was me resisting my feminine self.  When I no longer had to live up to being a man, I dared to take another peek inside, and my egg cracked big time. I still don't think I was "born in the wrong body."  Maybe it just needed a little tweaking. I think our "gender" is an internal thing.   I don't regret having lived so long trying to be a guy.  But if I could have transitioned as a child it would have been awesome.

Said it is possibly ptsd and anxiety, wants a second opinion.

@Adrianna DanielleSeeing two different therapist for separate issues really helped me deal with the each of them on different levels. I hope this works for you too.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I seem to remember the word "deplorables" being used not long ago.  Unfortunately so often appropriate.   Hugs,   Charlize

It was not that long ago that black people were banned from the University of Mississippi.  Schools were segregated and the same excuse of protecting the women (or girls) of old miss.  Times and many feeling have changed with time and federal intervention.  Unfortunately politicians love to separate and divide to gain power.     Hugs,   Charlize

I agree @Birdieto just "fit in", is what drove us to therapy. I'm not fitting in just to please someone with a closed mind. At least you know who your fair weather friends are now.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Yesterday in the lobby some of the residents were talking with me. One asked, "how come in all the TV commercials at the centre you don't appear in any of them?"   I explained that, "I'm an embarrassment to the centre and they don't know what to do with me." I get edited out!   Quite the differing options with the ladies at the table as some of them said, "that's discrimination", while others said, "they can see why."   Another lady said, "you would fair better if you cut your hair and went back to overalls, you should strive to fit in!"   Their opinions are as meaningful to me as rubbish. I did 45 years of trying to "fit in", and not doing that again. 😉
