Hello everybody! My name is Rachel and I am going through the beginning stages as a transgender. I've always had feelings of being a woman since a young age. Seeing many beautiful girls around, I always wish I could become exactly like one of them. I spent most of my life as a male, mainly miserable and unhappy at times. It's like I've been living a lie to myself. I even thought about taking my own life away sometimes. As much as I want to live my life as a woman, there are always obstacles for me just like many transgendered people. My mom knows about my situation, but with my dad it's always filled with drama. I have many cousins, aunts, and uncles which makes it very difficult for me to come out. I am an entry level engineer at a large company. Being in a male dominated occupation, I find fear in being judged my coworkers. However, I still want to remain successful in my current occupation. Despite many of these challenges that I am going through, I continue to go out part time as a woman. I have a few very supportive friends, who I go out with and understand me for who I really am. Going out as a woman in the city nightlife can be challenging, but I am able to hold my ground and be my true self most of the time.

Once again, I just want to introduce myself to the forum and would appreciate the support many members give here. Here are some pictures of me as my true female self. There are times when I feel like I may not pass because of my body type. I am more athletic built, somewhere to that of larger female bodybuilders.

Thank you so much Opal. Despite being in doubt most of the time about passing, my "etiquette" is mostly feminine. I am delicate to the touch, my hips sway, and I have confidence walking in heels etc. It's still difficult sometimes because of my body size and type.

good pics. you should have no worries about going out. In my experience it is not the "look" of a person that outs them as trans but the unconscious gestures that are considered male or female. I will tell you what my mom told me, "keep your legs closed, and your chin up and you will do fine."
