Im starting to look into srs and ffs and have just been wondering

I was going to take out a student loan this fall and I wanted to get srs and then my chin and nose done and was wondering if any doctors in the u.s. do that during the same surgery.

Im just starting to look and wasnt sure. if anyone has a bunch of info on surgeries / prices or any of that it would help me out

I'm not sure if they will, you may be under the knife for a very long time, and prolonged surgery of any kind has great risk with anesthetic problems.

Plus, your body will be sore from head to crotch :3

I have seen on a couple of sights from Thailand that they can do a little more than just Srs sometimes a BA but not too much on FFS at the same time - a lot of recovery time.

Love ya,

The bank will write the check to the school or pay the school directly to insure payment goes to what the loan is being taken out for.

In another topic someone was talking about having the school increase the tuition by an amount equal to the surgery and that the school would pay for the surgery that way. That somehow, as a required medical expense, they could do that and include it just as they would include housing and health insurance fees.

Someone seemed to suggest the same. So maybe its valid though to me thee does seem something a bit underhanded about it.

Now maybe this is what you were thinking, I don't know. I never heard anything like this till a couple days ago.

Financial aid, such as student loans are given only to be used for school related expenses. However, they do include housing, food, and necessary medical attention that. They really have no way of seeing what you spend it on though, and I see a surgery that will let you be able to focus on schooling as a good way to spend the money. I've even considered doing the same thing as the interest rates can't be beat!

i got my chin, brow shaved, brow embossed, cheek implants, nose and breast implant surgeries all in one go, 2 days later i got lipo and 2 days after that i got a voice change and adams apple removed. I had only been fulltime for 9 months so they wouldn't do the srs.

but i had alot of surgeries mostly in the first go. the pain was alot to handle and only now 3 months later i can feel my face. my voice is slowly recovering still.

after having all that done, i realised if i could of gotten srs at the time ontop of everything else the pain would have been unbearable, as it was i could hardly move.

but i guess if you just want your nose, chin and srs it should be doable, if not in one go atleast in the same hospital stay.

I saw Doctor Suthat at Yanhee hospital in bangkok, it's cheap but they are very experienced with transgender patients and the nurses are lovely.

i would suggest looking up yanhee, i went through destination beauty and they have no problems asking any questions you would have.

good luck :)

I took out student loans to do my surgeries in the past. Loans are just that .... Loans, its not like the FAFSA which matches yoru tutition to your scholarship or whatever. I say take out the loans and go for it. I did it throughout my collegiate career. Fortunately i had scholarships that paid for my tuition and books and used the loans to travel, get surgery etc. Just don't go crazy !

Though I question the wisdom in using a student loan in this manner, many surgeons will perform several surgeries at the same time. It can save you thousands of dollars in anesthesia, and is recommended for anyone who can afford it and is able to spend the extra time in recovery. I can't say for certain if they would perform those particular procedures together, but I know you can get breast augmentation with SRS or vocal surgery/trachea shave etc.

The best way to answer the question would be to contact whichever clinic you're planning to go to and tell them specifically what you're looking for.

The thing is, SRS is a very long, complicated procedure. Doctors like to keep anesthesia as short as possible, so adding a complete chin and nose restructuring complicates matters. The only possibility I could think of would be to have two surgeons at once, one cutting open your face and the other making your ladybits. And I think that'll be hard to come across. Plus post op would be a nightmare. I don't think it's a superb idea.

My FFS was 9 hours (2005). My SRS was about 3-3.5 hours I think. Of course how long FFS takes depends on the number of procedures involved. I think anyone who wants to do both in one trip is CRAZY, both are major surgery.

I really don't think that's a good idea. The unity of the LGB and T community is historic and has been central for both groups rights. And the vast majority of people advocating for splitting the two are transphobic LGB's who are broadly condemned by the community anyway.

A bit late in updating, but I've had the draft of the official diagnosis and have (as yet unconfirmed) an endo consultation next month.   Next to arrive will be the supporting documentation for my new passport application for my correct gender.  This will then be my official ID for all the other updates - bank, tax, payroll etc.   It just feels good to to be proactive again rather than waiting for other people to move at a leisurely pace.

I like ELF brand cosmetics, I can pick them up at JC Penny.    I wear makeup everyday, but mostly just very light makeup.

Hi Mae Be, whenever it comes to makeup, there are so many different bands to choose from. Picking out the right makeup comes with trial and error, until you find one that works for you and blends well with your skin tone, some makeup products can leave the skin feeling oily. It's a good idea to look at the labels on the makeup product to know what the creators put in the makeup, just in case skin allergies. Once you found the makeup brand, you can add it to your shopping list, good luck

To be fair I’m pretty lost when it comes to makeup technique. I’ve watched videos, but I have no idea what works for or would help my features. So I just bungle along, hoping I don’t look terrible.
