I Seem To Be Passing Without Trying...

It's so odd. Twice in the past four days, when I went out without binding (and I'm a 38-40C), I passed as a guy. Maybe I should wear hoodies more often?

The first time I mentioned in another thread, but I'll recap.

I was waiting to return something at Walmart and the guy who was in front of me called me "sir." I guarantee that I was smiling from ear to ear for the next hour that I was in that store.

Then, today, I went to the bank to cash a check that my dad gave me to pay for college books. I went up to the first available window and said that I wanted to cash the check. She took it, looked at who wrote it out and who it was for, then looked at me and asked, "Who's K******?" Of course, I said, "I am."

Cue the skeptical look and the request for ID.

I told one of my friends (I still haven't come out to any of my friends, btw..) this story, in joy and disbelief because I couldn't believe that my voice didn't prove I was a biological girl. Then she turned around and said, "Well, your voice isn't really that feminine," and, "On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the manliest (that a female voice can be, I assume), I think your voice is about a 2." I nearly died. I never thought that I sounded that manly. Though, what I hear and what other people hear are probably two completely different things.

I'm still sooo happy from that. I can't stop grinning. Really.

Caden, isn't it exciting to be called sir when you don't believe you pass? I am very happy for you. I'm sure this will give you motivation to progress as the male you are.

It really is! It really makes me wonder how other people see me, as compared to how I see myself.

I can't wait to move further with my transition. I need to build up the courage to take my next step and come out to my best friend/roommate.
