I've just spent the last 5 hours on messenger with my sister Crystal. It started as an ordinary conversation until I asked if she could keep a secret. She assured me she could and would. I asked if she wanted to hear me ease into the topic or hit her head on with shocking news. She said how ever it was best for me. We've always been direct, so I asked her... How would you feel knowing, that your older brother, was wanting to become your older sister? She was a bit shocked at that revaluation, she was braced to hear something about me being terminal or something equally worse. So she was equally relieved, supportive, and questioning. She wasted no time in picking my brain. Asking my thoghts, drives, and desires. Then kept apologising if she was prying. I told her not to worry, I'd happily answer anything she had to ask. If she asked anything that hit a nerve, I would politely tell her. Nothing did. I answered all she had to ask and we spent the rest of the afternoon joking. I even sent her my favorite pic of me as Kat. She said I looked alot like mom!?! Crissy let me know that she just wanted me to be happy, and would always be there for me. My heart is still in my throat from all this!!!

Dearest Kat,

Coming out is one of the hardest things to do (as you know). I am glad to hear that your sister has been supportive.

Just want to let you know that you can expect many more conversations with your sister as the true meaning of your coming out becomes clear to her. Also, be prepared for the possibility that she might accidently out you to other family members. She won't mean to out you. It just comes out sometimes.

But coming out feels so good doesn't it
