After The Race Is Won

I found myself pondering this thought again

The first time over four decades ago it began

We landed a man safely on the moon

The race for space was over too soon

Now that we have already been there

Our next big mission is to where

We have been doing this and that

But to what end where are we at

Space may well be the final frontier

Must we stop with something so near

With billions of stars and more

The closest orb is all we explore

No the race has already been won

But the wonder lust is never done

We will return to space

Without need for a race

Man is an explorer at heart so it seems

Never to stop as long as we have dreams

Interesting thoughts.

Wouldn't it be interesting if we send our minds, but not our bodies - into space? Maybe that is what this virtual reality experience is all about, training us to go forth in robotic bodies.
