Hmm when you use scam TV TS and UK in same post you can only be referring to "Transformation" and it's spinoff the Albany Gender Clinic. I'm not going to give them free advertising with a link. They adverstise that they turn men into beautiful women with "Super Strength Hormones" which are herbal phytoestrogens and bust creams. No "Real" Gender Clinic in the world will promise you that. Their shop is the highest priced of any transgender scam site. There is no counseling by therapists required by HBIGDA Standards of Care, no operations, no medical care. Going to them is going to do one thing and that is lighten your wallet. Unfortunately This is often the first stop for most new transgender people. Catalgues feature busty GG models that no one will ever look like without extensive surgery or a magic wand. They thrive in the UK because of the slowness of the medical health system there. It is plain and simple a ripoff. How they can call themselves a medical clinic is beyond me. I do know once you are on their mailing list you will get graphic catalogues in your home mail forever and not in a plain brown wrapper. Anyone who gets ripped off by them should report them to law enforcement who must be sleeping because the company has been around for years. I have gotten more complaints about them than almost any topic in my email. That's a fact. The problem is who's going to be the first Transgender person to sue them and get their name in the paper? That's how they get away with it as they laugh all the way to the bank.

There are people who are inherently evil in this world. People who take advantage of others to make money. The people that scam us are the same type of people that would scam a wheelchair kid, or take money from a down's syndrome foundation. Taking advantage of another's birth defect is sick and evil. They play off the uneducated TS's lack of knowledge and desperation.

Thank you for that reply Laura, I did go to them many years ago for a few appointments, and yes you are correct in what you say the nursing staff there are very good but the gentleman that I saw was not, He was extremely obnoxious and not at all pleasant, the reason I say thank you is because since My first visit of around twelve years ago one of My mail inboxes has had hundreds of junk emails of a sexual nature a month, I last opened it around a month ago and there was five hundred junk sexual emails, I mean why on earth would I need to have Viagra, I have banned them banned their IP range and still they came, now I know just what to do, just never open it again.

I should have said in My other post that when I first got involved with The Albany Clinic, I was at that time unaware of the word Transsexual I only knew that I felt Female, and always had and I believed that I had something wrong in My head to be feeling that way, I really for many years was afraid to admit just what I felt for fear of being put into a Mental Institution, and believed that I was a little mad, so when the nursing staff at the said clinic were kind and understanding, I was hooked in that they would help Me, WRONG, The so called Psychiatrist Dr Sherman refused to give Me any form of treatment at all, this destroyed Me totally it made Me suicidal, and made Me think that they were all were the same, so in desperation I rang a phone sex line sounds strange Eh, well I just needed to talk to someone anyone about My feelings, the you Lady (eighteen year old) was very surprised that I just wanted to talk, and not about sex, and we talked for many hours over the next few months the phone bills were massive but it eased My mind a huge amount, She suggested that I rang the local Gay Switchboard for advice, who put Me in touch in a roundabout way with a LOVELY Man who saved My life by accepting that I was what I was, that was in July 1999, (Dr Russel W Reid), he treated Me with love and care and now nine years on I am legally recognized as a Female.

So yes I do know about that rotten clinic, I owe My life and soul to Dr Reid.

Thanx Laura and yes I was reffering to them,Iwas not to sure if that was ok or not

You're not alone Christine many were duped by them in the last 21 years. Certainly they have given Real Gender clinics that follow the Standards of care a bad name. GID is a very serious condition and needs to be treated by professionals. If it is untreated or not treated responsibly the condition can end in death or suicide. I wonder how many others felt suicidal as you did after going there? Though Dr Reid has had some controversy his heart was always in the right place. I have heard many describe him as "a lovely man" as you did.

Since we emerged from the caves there have been people trying to sell us things that sounded too good to be true. These "Snake Oil" salesman claimed they could cure all our ills with miracle elixers. Bust creams are nothing new. In the 1950's and '60's in the back of every magazine was an add for Mark Eden's bust cream with pictures of busty women claiming they could add 3 inches to your bustline. It was on the Christmas list of every teenage girl. In 1966 The US Postal Services charged the company with fraud http://www.tackytreasures.com/tackyhtml/pomarkeden.html . The creams disappered for a while until 1990 when the Internet was born. Since then the industry blossomed with anti-wrinkle creams, anti-aging creams and even anti cellulite creams. When botox came out thousands of companies imitated it, many containing no botox at all. They take that less than 1% fraction of truth and distort and embelish it, making fabulous claims that simply aren't true. Some are just makeup which works temporarily until you wipe it off. Then there are the weight lose capsules that promise you will loose umptynine pounds with no diet and exercise. Some of these are downright dangerous depending on your medical conditions. What makes it worse is that most of this crap is not regulated by the FDA. Herbal solutions bypass the safety process. If you have tried any of these you are not alone. Millions have been taken in by these scams. How do you know what is fact and what is not? The rule of thumb is if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Cisgendered people get scammed too. Our issue is that few will take legal action becuase they would out themselves. Scam companies know this.

No "Real Medical Gender Clinic" is going to have phytoestrogens, extra strength bust and nipple creams on their site when their doctor's could prescribe Real prescription Hormones. They aren't going to have "beard retardant" creams on their site either. Ask any Electrologist or Lasar hair removal specialist about a cream that takes your beard away. If this stuff worked they wouldn't need the expensive machines. If bust creams worked it would surely be cheaper than surgery. If "Girl Juice" worked who would need SRS? Worse the Cinic site promises Transgender people privacy and discretion. Is it discretion to out you to your postman with a catalogue called "Tranformation"? Is it privacy to sell your name and email to third parties and spam lists? No reputable Transgender site would do this including this one. People who do sell you out are in it for the money not because they feel your pain. Few transgender support sites are in this for the money and none of us live in mansions. Sex sites though are a different story.

There is no "magic cream" or pill you can buy that is going to turn you into a Man or a Woman that you can buy on the Internet without a precription. Certainly Treating a serious condition like Transgenderism or Transsexuality can't be done without a doctor safely. Herbal remedies require dangerous megadoses for even imagined growth. Suicide, death and disabiltiy could result. Please do not trust your care to the charlatans out there. Your life may depend on this.

Thanx Laura and yes I was reffering to them,Iwas not to sure if that was ok or not.

Actually I am very glad you asked hon. They have taken in too many people with their scam. It gave me the opportunity to warn about them and others who prey on our community. Forewarned is forearmed. Companies like that have made way too much money at our expense. They live in mansions while most here live in poverty. They are living it up while many die daily. Thanks for bringing this up. Your post will likley save many a lot of money and aggravation for members in this community. There is no doubt you may have saved lives too.

Nothing would please me more than to see all the UK Transgender people launch a class action lawsuit against them. Their ads would be comical if it didn't hurt people but it has. They tied a Gender Clinic professing to help us with a Specialty clothing, nipple cream (extra strength) and accesories shop. Next they'll be offering total body suits made out of fiberglass with the deluxe model being made out of liquid silicone. All can be had for the low price of 19.99 * times 41080 payments plus interest for 99 years. This will help finance the "Jacuzzi" in my tiny one bedroom basement apartment. I'd only need to sell one. My bet would be i'd have thousands of orders. My conscience wouldn't be clear though.

I'm sure you're not the only one they made feel suicidal. Their methods are dangerous. I used the humor only to make the point it's all about money. If it wakes people up to seek professional medical and therapeutic treatment it is well worth it. There are few transgender people who want to advertise their condition. Sharing it even with Doctors and thereapists is the hardest thing for us to do but also the most necessary. Our lives depend on it. No one can blame anyone though for trying to avoid this with creams and herbal remedies. It means we can keep it to ourselves. Unfortunately there are plenty of people who will take advantage of this. Be aware. Even here in our community forums people have a hard time making that first post. Most though were glad they did.

I do hate when companies like that scam people. Sometimes an advertisement seems so convincing that you figure it must have been investigated, someone must have really found this product useful. Sadly many are cheated by such greedy companies and some are too embarrassed to talk about it to others. There is no shame in hoping for the genuine kindness of humanity, it is only sad those hopes are misplaced. In the future, I do hope that such a miracle cream does come out.

The scam industry isn't just aimed at just us many are aimed at women too. Some companies do take advantage of the transgendered and our desire to be "Poofed" into the right body via magic wand. If there were a cream that grows breasts or one that merely made your beard fade away without hair removal I would be promoting it here. If extra strength nipple cream worked I'd have huge ads on here for it.

What is shameful is that companies like Transformation and Abgender, Ultrahairaway and others are aimed at transgender people by transgender people. Even those looking for breastforms and clothing shouldn't confine themselves to transgender shopping places only. Prices can vary wildly on the internet. I've seen breast forms go for $800.00 on one site and $159.00 on another for the same brand. The feminizing over the counter products aimed at us though I wouldn't waste your money on. Get your prescribed hormones through a doctor. That's the only thing that works for sure. The scam trade is all about money and about parting you from it. Trust me something called "GirlJuice aimed at us isn't going to turn you into one. Personally I am in the market for a good fairy godmother. Does anyone know one? :)

In the 70's during the gas crisis almost overnight hundreds of products cam out promising to boost gas mileage. Then they disappeared when it was over. Anyone want to bet with prices high now you'll see many of these come back? There's one born every minute.

This post is only for those with a sense of humor. When I first started this site i came across a site that was hilarious that pokes fun of the scams that are aimed at Transgender people. If you see it you won't be tempted to fall for any of these scams so I am presenting it here. As it contains nudity though humerous it is rated over 18. If you are offended by nudity or breast forms don't view this link. Thanks Rachel for reminding me about the site which is called Tatt 4 Trannies http://www.tatt4trannies.co.uk/index.html . I apologize if this offends anyone but i think you'll get the point about what some are trying to sell us. If I get complaints I'll remove the link to this humerous site.

I would like to introduce myself. I am gender fluid, which make it difficult to describe myself at any given point in time.  I have many interests: Drawing, Interior Decorating, Floral Arrangements, Seasonal Decorating, Home Improvement & Repair, Fishing, Electronics, Fiber Optics, PC Repair and configuration, Networking, Cooking, Sewing, Soldering, Auto Repair, gaming and Crafting are amongst my most cherished attributes.   I am happily married with 5 kids.  I simply wish to make aquaintences & friends with like minded individuals.  I often cross dress in private.  Because I'm fluid i teeter between masculine & feminine.  This is difficult as only my wife knows and the kids don't.    I am happy to meet you all

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @Madelyn Rain   I'm very late in life and in a slow transition. I'm out to my wife, grown children and my siblings, their support ranges from reluctant to total denial of my existence. Several are totally onboard with my transition. As for my medical and therapeutic care team... I'm out and started my conversation as they have known me from the start. Manly, just starting the transition. As I've proceeded along the transition trail, my mannerisms and speech have taken on a lighter tone. I have not started any real voice feminizing yet.    My recommendation is to just go in honestly and be your comfortable self.   Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

It’s a “wedge issue”, used as a way of forcing other things quietly while making a big deal out of something that impassions others. Trans issues “stuck” when the Right threw all sorts of social strategies at the wall, it clicked with the base and now we’re here. Who doesn’t want to “protect the children”, right?   As far as fascism goes, we’re on our way with either party but it’s not a hard guess which party gets us all the way there the fastest. Frankly, I see the Left dogged by politics of conscience. The war in Israel, the status quo of Wall Street, the perpetual increase in the wealth divide, and what little is being done on the environmental front are all indicators of capitalism guiding policy and the voter base of the Left is not impressed.   The Right is dogged by (or been sold into) a persecution complex, religious or otherwise, and it has made them afraid and angry. But! A lot of the issues that cause that fear are very similar, if not the same, on the Left (see wealth divide, see Wall Street, etc.). Weaponized religion is a big difference between the voting blocks and it’s being used to create insidious identity politics. Politics like that are why the party of “freedom” wants to control who people are. Why? Because God said so.    As for the OP, everyone knows the far right agenda isn’t a grass roots cause. It’s not surprising that there is big money and croneyism at work. In fact, I’ll bet the average MAGA voter would cheer it on. Grab ‘em by the pus-pocketbook! They’re the little guys in this and they need those “few” people to do god’s work with their “hard-earned” wealth.

Hiya, I’m about to be going to my appointment to set up hrt. I have spoken with my dr about it briefly in the past, but stopped being part time and went into deep masking essentially… Now that I have decided to actually start transitioning medically I feel pressure to be a certain way which I know I shouldn’t. I searched to see if someone else had asked this question but didn’t see it posted, so sorry if it’s been asked.    Did you dress femme and or use a femme voice for your appointment to discuss starting hrt? I still feel so manly in the way I look, so I just feel so… awkward about it all. Like to mask or not to or idk uggh so unsure how to feel about it as I’m totes not ashamed of who I am but insecure about looking manly. I have a femme “baby face” but am not too tall but broad and more on the muscular side. Not saying these things take away from being a woman, just they are my insecurities.   thank you,   Madelyn Rain

This stuff gets complicated.  Capitalism replaced Feudalism…  You get enclosures, Highland clearances, the communal village culture disrupted.  Was it good?  Or was it bad?  Kinda depends on your point of view.   But I guess this is another topic.
    • Ivy
Seems like it.  But I think a lot of current "conservative" thinking is the idea of going back to earlier social mores and enforcing such. "Conservatives" seem fine with coercing others to conform to their ideals.
    • Ivy
I see the corporations controlling the government, largely through campaign contributions.   As for leftist, almost any cooperation has a socialistic component.  It doesn't need to be controlled by the government.  I see some elements of your own situation as socialist in a sense.  I suspect we have a different understanding of these things. Some people see "anarchism" as simply local control.  Radical left?  IDK.
    • RaineOnYourParade
The truth is that there's no unbiased media. Even if someone tries real hard to show both sides of the issue and remain unbiased in their presentation, their own opinions are bound to influence the piece in some way. That's simply writing, really, but it's a real pain when it comes to news of current events. It seems everyone takes one extreme or the other, and a lot of people don't even seem to be trying to hide their bias in the news nowadays. That's a problem regardless of political party.   Going completely in any one direction is a bad idea, really. The point of a two-party (or more, really) system is that multiple types of people are represented and have someone speaking up in a way they agree with. Both sides have both faults and virtues, and that's why there's both conservatives and liberals, as well as people who might be fluid between the two sides depending on the issue.     Eh, I have to politely disagree. Fascism would also mean a lot of control over things like media, and we have plenty of media outlets who will openly criticize the government based on who's in power. There's also other freedoms in our current system that would go against a Fascist philosophy. Plus, there's plenty of corporations that actively try to avoid government interventions like regulations via methods like labor outsourcing.    Also, kinda unrelated, but I've never gotten the idea of conservative support of anti-trans policy? I mean, that's more government control over healthcare, which seems kinda anti-conservative in philosophy. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding of conservative philosophy, wouldn't the more truly conservative view be to leave it to offices themselves similar to how you would leave businesses to regulate what and how they provide a good/service?

And I suppose that NPR and CNN are "fair and balanced...."  I guess its all a matter of perspective, but here we literally listen to NPR as a comedy station.  As in, WHAT PLANET do these folks live on????  So much of what is presented seems totally nuts.    There's no shortage of big money funding the Left.  George Soros, Bill Gates, the Walton family....  If they support the "climate" agenda in any way - leftist.  If they support "gun control" in any way - leftist.  If they support UNESCO, anything else from the UN, electric vehicles, vaccination, funding public universities, etc....  you get the picture.  There's a heck of a lot of leftism going on if you just listen for the buzzwords on radio and tv.  And it seems like a large portion of big corporations are using those words.   What was the original idea of Fascism?  Corporations working hand-in-hand with a government that controls basically everything.  Doesn't seem too different from what is going on today, except that we have two parties involved.

The only reason I tried Tetris, was some of my younger kids had a gameboy I had younger coworkers playing packman when we took breaks at convenience stores.  I never could get into it.  I do remember the old pinball machines in the gas stations though

Everybody used to live that way, but not everybody is adapted to every climate.  I would be fine living like that, really.  My GF... well she'd be alive but I'm not sure about everybody around her.   If the house isn't super cold, she becomes difficult to deal with.  And the hotter it is outside, the colder she wants it inside.  Even the light bothers her, so she prefers areas without windows.  She'll work outdoors on projects, but when she's done sometimes she's bleeding from the corners of her eyes.  Her normal body temperature is also really cold.  For her, 95.7 to 96.2 is normal, and sometimes in the winter she can be as low as 92 while still appearing normal.  Arctic creature, I guess... Me, I'm fine with lower temperatures as long as I'm active.  But when I sleep, I get cold easily.
