The Transition From Male Fat To Female Fat

I have a question. Does my male fat get told to go to female places by the hormones or do I have to loose that male fat first and THEN wait for the redistribution? I'm trying to loose the fat in my belly. I've got about 8lbs to go to my goal weight, I don't think that the weight that I've been loosing lately has been from where I want. I have a fairly good exercise program but this bit here on my stomach doesn't seem to want to go anywhere.

My exercise program is running two days a week for a about an hour each, one day of cross trainer and stair stepper for about an hour and about 60 sit-ups daily. My breakfast is Kashi cereal in the morning, a couple of fruits (an apple, orange and pear, usually) during the day, no lunch, then a dinner that calorie wise is not too much, but is cooked by my wife who thinks that I don't eat enough anyway. Fat content is probably too high here.

Thoughts, comments?

well i read about that in my early search. and i think the hormone therapy will automatically change your body into feminine shape. the hormone will transfer the abdominal fat to the hip and thigh area i'm pretty sure. but it's not a waste to exercise though. good for your health. :) want to lose the abd fat? try some sit-ups. don't eat too much fatty food. hope that helps. :)

Well that kinda sucks a little for me. I already have most of my fat in my thighs *sigh* oh well..

I didn't have much fat going into HRT a year ago... but since starting I've lost about 6 inches in my waist after losing 20 lbs (BMI ~21 now). My hips are 2 inches bigger.

For losing I ate around 1200 cals and exercised 1-2 hours each day for 2 months. 100% cardio from moderate walking

Personally I think you should run more and eat more (carbs to fuel your runs), maybe one day a week more. I like to have a long run on the weekend with a rest day afterwords.

Also make sure you have your cheat meal to keep your metabolism burning bright. Nosh veggies galore and don't be afraid of dairy. I started seeing really nice gains (okay, loses) once I stepped up my dairy (2-3/ day I think).
