Anyone else love this show?

It's one of my holy trinity of television along with Seinfeld and Whose line is it anyway (espcially The British version, although I love both)

The newer version that Spike and more recently Lifetime airs with Dennis Farina as host is okay, but nothing compared to the classic Robert Stack hosted episodes.

I own 19 disks full of classic segments.. some even from pre Robert Stack specials before the show was picked up as a series hosted by Raymond Burr and Karl Malden... the first 16 or so are all around 6 hours.. last few not quite as long.

The quality isn't great, as they were converted from old VHS tapes.. still great stuff!

Not a whole lot of the supernatural stuff, more unsolved murders, wanted and my personal favorite missing persons.... I just find something fascinating about missing persons cases, as sad as they may be.

As stated above.. does anyone else like this show?

Can't believe no one else shares my affinity for this show. During it's peak... mid 1980's until mid 1990's or so... it was one of the greatest and most compelling shows on television.

It was still good after that, though lost a little bit of it's magic from earlier years.

Just goes to show that different people like different things, but this show was simply amazing in my opinion. Everything from the rather creepy music:

The newer version with Farina is okay.... although clearly not the same. Basically it's just a hack job of the same classic segments... edited all to heck.... with an inferior host.... and less fitting music.

The classic Stack hosted show? sheer brilliance!

I loved that show im a huge paranormal buff yes I believe. And I watched the reruns of that all the time as a kiddy paranormal investigator

I thought the earlier stuff was the only era to even feature the supernatural ones. It' been a really long time since I've seen any of the show.
