Feminization Ideas

Looking for some feminization ideas or things i can work on. I am 39 and started laser hair removal on my face. I won't be seeking HRT for several years and I'm only out to my spouse at this point. Are there someother things that I can do to look and express my feminimity without being too "out"?

How "out" do you want to be?

I'm hardly out at all.

I'm in the military and cannot afford to lose my career.

I still dress as a woman at home and my daughter also know that I am going to become a woman.

I would just worry about dressing up at home, and making sure that your wife is going to be ok with your transition in the end.

Before I went full-time I wore a bracelet that had my name on it. I was single so it didn't cause any problems. Another suggestion I have heard is to wear an anklet. Piercing your ears is a possibility as well as your naval.

I wear womens undergarments, socks, belt sometimes, wide collared shirts, and if you were comfortable with it tight jeans mens or womens.

I'm a little older but like you I've begun the laser treatments on the face. I'm loving it.

Clean up your eyebrows?

You don't have to go as far as thinning them out or shaping them, but cleaning up any stray hairs above or below would be a little start, as well as trimming them back so they're not really bushy. Easy tip for that is to just take a fine tooth comb and a small pair of scissors, like cuticle trimmers, slide the comb down on your brows as close to the skin as you can, and trim off any hairs that poke out through the comb.

Also if you have something resembling or approaching a unibrow, trim it!

Hi Stacey,

I've been using clear nail polish on my fingernails for a while now - it makes them look good and feel terrific. Of course, toenails can be any color you like as long as you're wearing shoes.

Also, practicing your walk, gestures, and voice do wonders for feeling more feminine - when you have the privacy.

If you're not doing it already, make sure that you never go to the bathroom standing, and, also, try tucking 24/7 - that flat look does wonders for me!

I'll shut up now!

Love, Kat

Experiment with a few things and don't be afraid to try many options.

I know that the list below contains many things that really shouldn't be gendered, but many of these have helped me keep sane when I was forced to be male.

- Clear nail polish

- Discrete accents

- Music selections

- Movie selections

- Body hair removal

- Body Lotion

- Facial cleansing cloths

- Baths

- Spa trips

- More color exploration in male oriented clothing

- More fashionable clothing choices

- Little longer hair style

- Androgynous style accents

- Find a woman's group to join or to hang with occasionally (GLBTIQQA friendly of course)

- Yoga

- Dance

- Tai Chi

- etc.

Stop cutting your hair, start electrolysis or LASER, begin practicing your voice, and learn to tap into the real you which will lead you to what you want to be.

33 here. I'd like to say I let my hair grow long, but my Mother suggested that back in 1994. I'm beginning to wonder if she knew something...

Other than hair, I've shaved my legs and arms. I wear a clear polish on my fingers, and I paint my toenails which ever color I find more appropriate at the time. Sometimes it's a bright green. My wife painted them a metallic purple a bit ago, and now I'm using a steady red. But whatever.

With my hair long I normally pull it back into a ponytail, but I tie it higher on my head on occasion if I want to feel, for myself, more feminine.

So far, no one has ever commented on the shaving (some people do that for sports anyway) or the polish. They can't see the later, mostly.

I didn't see anyone mention shaving your legs. That was always the biggest thing for me before I came fully out. Give that a try, it'll do wonders for you I'm sure!

I attended my first public event with crowds. I was nervous! It was the Pride Month event down here. It’s finally official I’m a volunteer.

@LittleSam I dress pretty stereotypically masculine too, it's comfy! But sometimes I feel like being fancy and bright like a peacock so I do that. Being a peacock is fun :D  Plus I always think it's so weird that people believe certain genders can't do certain things, because why does it matter so long as no one is being hurt and the person doing the activity is happy? Basically, I think worrying about that stuff just causes a lot of unnecessary stress.  I don't really see myself as genderfluid mostly because my gender is pretty static, or I'm always masculine and not at the same time all the time. With that being said I can absolutely see how it relates! Especially since I think it makes perfect sense to go between feeling gendered or genderless, to put it broadly.  Overall, labels are our best attempts at describing hard to explain concepts like gender and sexuality, which are both really fluid and vary a lot from person to person. I went from trans man, to trans masculine, to agender, and back to trans man, so I essentially just went in a circle, but I learned a lot along to way.

I personally don't understand how wearing panties is comfortable for much of anybody.  I'm AFAB, but there's just too much naturally, um...down there....for panties to be comfortable.  Consequences of being intersex, I guess.  I'd suggests some slightly-looser shorts instead.  There are some that are marketed to women, but have a kind of androgynous look to them.  Wish I knew a brand name, but I could ask my friends.  Both of my trans friends are non-op, so they have no doubt experienced how you're feeling.   Ugh... I get really irritable when GF keeps trying to put me back in female underwear because she says I "look pretty" that way.  I never thought I looked pretty that way or any other way, and the pinching/pulling/chafing combined with the overly-noticeable outlines of....stuff.... just makes it no-go for me.  Last time she approached me with an underwear item, I warned her she was going to get bit.

I don't think so.  People may disagree with me, but I don't believe there's such a thing as "gay culture," "trans culture," "White culture," "Hispanic culture," or similar terms because those are really big umbrellas.    My background is Greek, and I live in the Mid-South part of the USA.  I share some of my trans-ness with my trans friends, and some aspects of our backgrounds and beliefs are similar.  But honestly, its impossible for me and the average trans person from California to agree on much of anything past the color of an orange and the fact that we don't quite fit in our bodies.

Just heard from surgeon. Surgery successful and she's awake and resting well. Spleen was large about only about 100ml blood loss, probably all from bleeding into the mass & not from any rupturing. Dr didn't see anything else worrying except a liver nodule which she biopsied although she suspects the nodule is just age-related. She's anemic but they're holding off on blood transfusion for now bc they believe she'll recover naturally. About a week to get biopsy report. And Dr said if she continues to do as well as she has so far, she may be able to come home tomorrow. So best news possible so far. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Well she did choose me in the end not him. Just frustrated that it was so hard to get her to do that.
