Since my little revelation about myself my appetite has been shot. I eat a dinner each night thats about it. Sometimes im hungry and ill eat the whole dinner sometimes im not that hungry and ill eat like the hamburger and not the fries or force myself to eat the whole wrap and skip most of the fries when I do not want a second half... Now I have always had a huge appetite...

At the same time I also got encouraged to work out so I have been working out hard an hour a day since then as well. My parents (only my mom actually knows how im feeling though) credits me not eating to me working out. Both of them eat very little in general. They say my body has changed over the few years since back when i used to work out regularly and had a huge appetite. My mom does contribute it partially to the stress including natural stress from law school.

I dont know which side is right but im pretty sure i wouldnt lose my appetite like that just from working out. I mean i still havent eaten today nor in fact really drank anything only a few sips of water tbh.

This has been going on for 3 weeks now. I dont know if I am making a big deal out of nothing but it is out of the norm for me... At what point do you actually get concerned about stuff like this? I mean i told the therapist last week and she just kinda shook her head like she understood lol. ill probably bring it up again this week....

Hi,

I'm never a fan of the "one meal a day" program - it's difficult to get the right nutrients that way. It's difficult to tell much else because there are so many variables. I would discuss with your therapist, and also monitor your weight weekly - if it's going in the wrong direction, seek help!

Love, Kat

its not really a program unfortunately. its more like im never hungry now. I make sure to eat something each night or I probably wouldnt some nights. I dunno i just know it started when i started seriously considering everything so it has me a bit weirded out.

Its just so out of my norm i wanst sure if other people experienced the same type of stuff.

I can relate to what your saying i have suffered from bulimia since my teens..had it under control for a few years now until recently..but i have never got back up to more than one meal aday even when eating prop..i never get hungry in the day and can run the whole day on nothing i doubt I would eat unless my partner made me lol..just because i forget..and my anxiety effects it too..

from what you are saying maybe your a little anxious right now and maybe it would be best to talk to your doctor..it may be the start of an eating disorder but it could be as simple as nerves affecting you right now..or worry..no one can tell you exactly whats wrong apart from your doctor..but if you need an ear any time im hear to listen..

hope you get the help you need..

yeah i mean i figured it was nerves the first week or so but its been like 3-4 weeks now. Its just so out of my nature that i commented on that to someone and they automatically go depression. Now i dont feel depressed, but then again i dont know the symptoms and all that. But it did get me thinking whether its a problem or not.

Always been a huge eater and now nada. like ill probably go down in an hour and make myself eat some dinner lol.

I really don't think I have an eating disorder but I am grossly obese. Is that eating disorder? I have been going to a weight loss clinic for several months now and still cannot lose weight. The one thing that I do know and have been told over and over again is that if you don't eat within an hour of getting out of bed, your body will go into starvation mode. This means that your internal computer will slow down your metabolism and you won't feel the need to eat for several hours. I find it hard to eat right after arising, especially when I get up and then immediately go to the computer. Sometimes too I wake up early because I drank too much coffee last night, thinking that I'll go back to bed but I don't. I'm also supposed to be keeping a food journal but that's hard to do.
