Big Question About Makeup

Ok, I have been using Mary Kay concealer and powder that was gauged for my complexion and skin tone. When I apply it, it appears to look caked on like some of the girls I dated in the 80's. Not the look I am after. I am wanting something smooth and natural. I guess it could be me applying too much but I have tried to back off on the amounts and it still looks the same. Help please!!!!!!

When I was wearing makeup I found the Bare Minerals kind was the best for covering yet looking like it isn't there. You can pick it up in demo or starter kits pretty reasonably on ebay. Some come with all kinds of shades so you can find what works for you.

Any liquid makeup always looked like a mask on me no matter how skillfully I applied it. My skin is very thin and that may be the reason.

I just visited Sephora and the very kind and helpful women there suggested beginning with a primer. The note they made was (I use bare Essentials) to not use bare essential's primer since it causes the powder to ball. I was given a sample of smashbox photo finish primer. I have yet to try it out, but her make-up looked amazing.

Well Hun I might be 16 tommarow, but I know ALOT about make-up so heres my tips use half foundation acouple of drops and half moustoriser and mix it . It will make your skin more flawless I do that because for my young skin I dont need foundation caked on. As for counseler rub it between your index and thumb and blowdry it to warm it and rubb ok now apply it. As for make up I have tried many but I find MAC studio fix to work excellent but also Bare Minerals works I would recommend the MAC concealer:) hope I helped(: if u need more advice pm me
