Gid Variance

Ok I am curious if everyone else experiences this or just me. I think my level of GID changes biased on lifestyle things I can’t figure out. Some days it doesn’t really impact me a huge amount but it there in the back of my head. But then there are days like this where I would give everything including my life. I hit just about everywhere in between as well. I can’t really even dress up here at school I threw tights on and heels praying to god that my roommate doesn’t come back to find it. My GID acts up really bad like I would give anything just to dress the part since it’s the closest I will get for now. I just am not sure if this is normal to feel such a variance in my GID’s affect on me. It’s almost like I feel sick to my stomach because I can’t be it I know physical pain is not good when there is no reason for it.

Thanks

In my experience - yes, very typical. It is one of the reasons we get so confused and even go into denial. Sometimes it is hardly even there, other times it is so powerful we will to do ANYTHING just to be what we know we are.

Thank you Lizzy and John it is nice to know. John you hit the nail on the head I feel much the same way no order to any of it and the best are also the worst because of the doubts.

Honestly, you are not alone, hon. See Lizzy's quote up above? Gotta agree with here 100%. Sometimes, GID isn't much of an issue with me. However, most of the time, it really is. Though I've had fun in androgyne mode (being ever the eccentric and individualist who loves blowing people's minds), I've finally (for practical reasons) trageted 1 May 2011 (3+ weeks from today) to go fulltime.

If you truly have GID, and I believe nearly everybody here does, all I can say is that it will NEVER go away ... EVER. Look how many of us on here are of "The Elder Generation" and you'll see people who wrangled with GID for decades due to circumstances and denial.

Yeah, GID waxes and wanes, crescendos and decrescendos, varies, etcetera. I'd say that's true for most folks who have it ... though not necessarily for everbody who has it.

Hugs ;) Lacey

I was thinking about this earlier today!

My concentration was SO off, that I had to let go the task at hand to focus on what had me so unfocused! And sure enough, there it was.

Some days I need a surfboard to ride the waves. Other times it's just a kiddy pool, no water wings required.

What a trip...

I get that and it drives me crazy! This is partly why I'm so unsure. So don't worry, you seem normal :) You're in a similar position to me, in fact (being in college and sharing a room).

Lacey, Kimburly, and ignota thank you all.

Lacey congrats an setting your date thats great.

Kimburly I completely understand that.

ignota it can be very tough I agree with you on that I am hoping once I come out they are forced to give me my own room. But I cant afford it so who knows.

Thanks

Rachel, it's pretty normal. gender is fluid and varies in intensity. I've had periods where the gender is very fluid. There are times that I hardly notice it.

I'm trying not to think this far ahead, but if you have a reason why you can't share but cant afford to go single, there may be a hardship.fund you could look into. The LGBT reps may be able to help you outt with that too. Something to consider :)

Gennee thanks for the continuing conformation its nice to know.

ignota I am just one of those over planner haha. Thank you very much for that I had never thought of that. But i am not sure if we have a trans rep I believe we have a LGB one, my councilor is pretty sure I am the first trans person my college will ever have to deal with.

I actually found out I can get a single bed dorm for $400 more and I can come up with that but they are very limited so I probably would need a medical reason to get into them. So I will just have to see.

Thanks again

My kitty has a litter box, which she uses on occasion.  But she prefers to make me get up to led her out. I could install a "cat door" but I'm afraid it would be used more by the possums and raccoons.  I have had possums in the house more than once - even without one.

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
