This happned just an hour or so ago. I was in the bathroom showering when suddenly my sister walks in, completely unexpected!

The thing is, I've been experimenting a little in the past few days, using nail-polish on my nails to see how it feels to wear some light make-up, and I'd decided to keep my toe-nails pink during the day, thinking nobody would notice since I was wearing socks all day anyway.

So in comes sis, and our shower cabine only has a glass door, so it's totally see-through, wich means my little pink toes where in full view! My only blessing was that the shower edge had a little elevation and steam might've obscured the view a little. She looked at me, and we had a little casual talk as usual. I tried to keep my toes hidden from her, but despite the aforementioned boons I'm almost 100% sure she saw something. She mentioned something about it too, but I couldnt hear what it was over the noise of the shower.

I'm pretty nervous now. I hope she didnt figure out what it was..I'm so embaressed.

She didnt make a point of it at all though, if she did see something. I gues I'l find out tomorrow.

That sounds really nerve racking, you must be really freaked out right now. Do you think your sister would be understanding of the situation if you were to tell her that you were trans. If she brings it up and you are not ready there are a million excuses to think of. Siblings can be super supportive if you are close. Which it seems like you guys are. I hope everything goes well, and if you need someone to talk to just inbox me I'm usually on here a lot so... yeah.

Lots of Love,

Ariel <3

Wow scary Isabel. It might not be as big a deal as you think though. You could use this as a conversation starter to sound her out to see if it's safe to tell her, or you could pass it off as a joke. Say someone dared you or a female friend was messing around and asked if she could paint them or something. If you want to keep experimenting around the house though it might save a lot of future stress to let her in on it if you think she'd take it well, but it could make the home atmosphere difficult if she doesn't take it well. It's a gamble I guess we all have to take at some point with telling the people we live with (unless we are lucky enough to live alone)

If you want to pass it off as a joke it may be easier to do so than you think. And even if you want to tell her you did it on purpose because you wanted to that doesn't necessarily mean she's gonna have to know EVERYTHING. More guys try things like this out than you would think in my experience. My 12 year old son went through a phase of painting his nails about a year ago (it may mean something more with him given other things he has said and done in his life but it may not and if he does take it further then well we will support him all the way and if he doesn't then that's fine with us too) and even my father who is about as 'man' as you can get (and not always in a good way) and not at all open to 'deviations from the norm' took some of my nail varnish when I was still trying to be a girl and painted a couple of his nails as a joke and walked around like it for a week!

Most people with no experience of transgender stuff if left to their own devices on something like this are more likely to assume you're going through an 'emo' phase than to make the jump to 'ok my brother is transgender'!

I started out with painted toes too.

And if you do come out to your sis by accident, you just may find

you have support. And that would be nice don't you know. Then it

could lead to undies and makeup...Ooooooo think about that.

But I wouldn't stress about it,if she say's something just say

you were playing around and forgot to take it off if nothing else.

Been using the wok on the back deck a lot the last few months.  Just got another stock of udon noodles from Amazon and we are using those in the stir fry with onions, peppers and a spicy peanut sauce.  I did this often in the 90's too, but back then I was just using a standard Coleman camp stove instead of this high BTU wok burner.  I've had the burner for a couple years, but haven't been using it regularly until recently.

I’m a lefty. Learned to be a bit ambidextrous for certain tools that assume right handedness like scissors, but couldn’t write with my right hand to save my life.

Tangent, adjacent, opposite...  It's still rock n' roll to me.  I don't know about the "in god we trust" part of the money, but I like the lady with the scale.  And then I look left at the Indian statue on my mantel of Guanyin feeding a drop of liquid to the dragon at her feet.  In god we trust?  The lady with the scale?  Maybe this is too binary.  And then on the other side of Guanyin is that kind of pelican wood bird that sits two feet tall that I hauled back from South America through the Panama canal.  The beak broke in 1998 and I carefully saved the pieces (as I usually do) and attached them back about a decade ago.  I used a drill to make a small hole and then put a finish nail in there.  Then a hole on those two pieces that needed to be attached.  Upper and Lower beak.  There is still a seam showing.  I could cover that up, but the beak is a bright yellow and well, it's better with all the pieces in place and I don't mind seeing the crack.  I guess that is the tangent and the other two are the opposite and adjacent. -money  Why don't coders always code the "-" action in their search fields?  It's not that difficult!

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.

Yeah.  I like Nebula, that was where I watched it.   I posted the YouTube cause I figured more people could see it.

We agree on most of this... and the church/state thing is kind of a tangent anyways. Oops. LOL   I think it has long been established that all different kinds of groups have access to public funds. In my opinion, either everybody has access or nobody does. I would prefer "nobody."   Relying on public funds gives the government the power to take it away, and puts that power in the hands of whatever group controls the government at the moment... the news article that is the topic of this thread shows a clear example of that happening.  Organizations trust government at their peril.

More info on Abigail Thorne here: https://go.nebula.tv/philosophytube and, Dracula's ex-girlfriend, on Philosophy tube.   "The reason why Nebula is so cheap for what it is, is because there's no upper hierarchical group looking yo skim off the top. Imagine how much cheaper EVERYTHING could be if it was like that for every other service or product; if the money went straight to workers, not up a chain of command until it reached someone who did exactly "jack" to produce what's being sold.
