A Good Day I Would Say

Hello all of you lovely people,

First I just want to mention how amazing everyone here is and how even though you are going through an increasable amount of hardship and difficulty in your lives that you are always the most friendly and courteous and wonderfully welcoming and warm and amazing people I could ever encounter. Both the world and I are truly blessed that you are all here and so open with your hearts and struggles. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and everywhere there is warmth and compassion within me. Everyone here really pushes me to be a better version of myself, a more honest with myself self, and a more giving self. All of you make me smile.

... ... ...

... and ... now my day ...

For some unknown reason, when I finally rolled out of bed at around 8:30ish, I started to just really realize that I am Amy, and the other person is just a dream. I started crying happy tears. And I know, that would be enough, but it gets better. Then I barely make it to a friends yoga class that she is teaching (oops) and it was amazing. It was just 4 students and 3 of them I would consider friends. It was just the 5 of us girls. My body is now tired but feels amazing, and I get hugs from three of the four others (one person I didn't know, not THAT open). Then, after a Qdoba small breakfast burrito and a cookie, it was time to sit with a friend and just watch FraggleRock. Next, a nap.

Now I am procrastinating after some activity on my paper. I got to read about all of your stories, both the good and the difficult times. I wish I could meet and hug each and every one of you. Please remember that everyone here is exquisite and has character that most can't even imagine. Thinking of the kind of people I meet here is a talisman that I carry with me always, reminding me that there is true good in the world, and that it is worth fighting for.

Amy,

Today was starting to become a really difficult day for me and then I read your message. A smile came over my face as I realized you were saying exactly what I needed to hear and your day sounds great too! You helped me to see that these people here are absolute proof that the world is not all evil and problems, that there are wonderfully beautiful people on this earth and I get to talk with them regularly here at Laura's and other places.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for lifting my day a little bit.

Amy, that sounds like a really great day. There comes a time for most of us when we realize that the dream has become reality, and we can be who we were meant to be. Those are amazing moments, and wonderful experiences. I'm glad you had one of those today.

What you said about the members here is very true. Just don't lose sight of the fact that you are one of those lovely, warm and compassionate people, and are part of the whole.

HUGS

Hi Amy,

Sounds like a great day. But I have to say, one of your comments I particularly appreciated. Anyone who likes FraggleRock (Dance your cares away, worry's for another day!) is someone I like immediately. I have HBO and saw it when it first came out and even saw the final episode (which was that happy/sad kind). Loved every moment and all the characters (Marjory and the doozers were favorites).

Amy:

What a WONDERFUL post!

Thanks so much for saying this. Made my day, and it was already a great day! Appreciate it muchly!

Like the others, I've followed your posts intently and love 'em all. You've got what I call The Soul. What can I say? Rock on! You know, I believe you've made the biggest step in transition ... feeling that you really are HER! That's the biggie. IMO, HRT and surgery and whatnot just match your body to THAT realization. The realization, however, is THE THING!

Funny, I arrived at that point some time ago. Know what you mean. How wonderful. Loved reading about your day. I've yet to experience girl times like that. Don't know if I ever will, but I'm glad YOU do and that the others here do too.

;) Lacey

Postscript:

Your avatar is simply splendid. Who IS she? Like, OMG ... to look like her!

Hello Amy,

Sounds like you had a great day.

I so loved Fraggle Rock. We have the DVDs and it is one of the shows I play when I just want a boost. They really taught some good lessons in life.

A big hug to you.

I had a similar experience.  My father, doing geneological research, googled the name of the tiny hamlet in Scotland where his family came from.  He was surprised to find a request from someone in Australia wanting to find his birth mother.  The mother was named as my father's sister, from that same tiny hamlet.  There was no possibility of mistaken identity: there could not be two people of that name in such a small place.   The family knew that my aunt had had a child out of wedlock, but no one had kept track of the child.  And of course, the times being what they were, knowledge of the event was kept on a need-to-know basis.    My father contacted the person in Australia.  He gained a nephew and I gained a cousin that I never knew I had.  We kept in touch until my cousin passed away a few years ago.  I am still in occasional contact with his widow.

I can relate to that, I started my oral estrogen back in 2017.. less than 6 months I was wearing jeans size 40, then afterward my hips started to curve so I can fit a jeans size 12 or 14.. my treating doctors suggested for me to take before and after pictures and show it to them during my next doctor's appointment.

Good morning from the backyard patio,   Parker and I are outside enjoying the morning sounds of the day. It’s was filled with the beautiful sounds of birds, bugs and kids off at a distant playground. My coffee was hot, strong and black. This came crashing down as the Monday morning trash truck came into the neighborhood. We’re the first neighborhood for the trash route since a city ordinance keeps all commercial workers limited to a 07:00 start time. It was Parker’s first time experiencing this noise and physical vibrations as the operator slammed the articulated arm around picking up individual trash bins. Parker ran from the fence back to the patio swing looking back at the monstrous truck causing such a commotion. His head tilted, ears perked, and body language indicating curiosity.    My second cup of coffee is settling down as the birds return to singing their calls, and Parker ravages his toy rabbit.    Hugs and best wishes as you take on the week. Happy Monday!   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning @Adrianna Danielle   I’m glad you agreed to the paternity test.    My Uncle found himself in a similar situation and after the test he was faced with explaining his infidelity and one night stand to his wife and family. Not only did the test come back; “YOU ARE THE FATHER” she looked like a sister to the other children in his family. This was a “23 & Me” moment confirmed by an independent test. The most important reason for the young lady to search for her father, was medical history and peace of mind. The blessing of the test was her understanding and willingness to disappear into obscurity. That was not what my Uncle or his family wanted to happen. She was family and they wanted to know her and eventually love her as a family member. The next 4th of July family gathering, she was introduced to the rest of her extended family and I gained a cousin. My prayers for you as you navigate all the possibilities, and I hope it works out for everyone involved.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well I’m short on time again!   I had to move to the couch around 3:15 this morning. Unfortunately my wife’s med vac was making a lot of noise which woke me up and I couldn’t sleep. Then I over slept because my alarm wasn’t set correctly, my fault.    @Mirrabooka Hobart is a beautiful city and Tasmania is a wonderful place to visit. I was there several times in the 80s.    @Birdie Texas isn’t the only state with such laws.  Don’t try going to a public bathroom in Florida either. Now there laws aren’t based on chromosomes or anything like that but it’s a birth certificate as far as I know.  That Texas law is a tough one, really anti transgender in all respects. Except!  What if you have an extra chromosome?  Or DNA that’s flipped?  Did they think of that situation?  Medical theory suggests that is the case when it come to Transgender people, but especially the young ones.  Also, IQ, that tends to be higher than average.  There are a lot of things about us the medical science is studying, not just psychology.   got to go   Willow
