I Must Be Doing Ok

I know i have a very long way to go to finding my proper female voice, but I've been fielding calls now for a week, and many have been with people I've never met. Those are the big challenge, because they have no visual cues, and they don't know that I'm "supposed" to be female.

I talked with a construction contractor today, and we had a several minute-long conversation. He told me that he appreciated my being "a fast girl" in finding him the information he needed, and finished the conversation by telling me I was a "sweetheart."

I haven't stopped grinning since hanging up the phone. That just made my day!

I would suggest its attitude and the fact you ARE full time - no need to pretend anything else... I am so happy for ya - there will be a few who won't know, just politely correcting them, I think, would work just fine.

I know for a fact that your cadence and speech patterns are female. Maybe because you are female? That is the most important thing about speech really-unless you are a basso profundo or a young barritone. Your voice sounds perfect to me. Both age and gender appropriate.

I envy you. I know my voice wouldn't pass yet, but Fox (my mate) says it's getting better, and I've only been working on that part for a few weeks. I've got until August to be at least acceptable.
