in the past I've said I don't have a drinking problem.. after this passed weekend I believe I do, I blew 500 bucks supporting my dads trailer park neighbours drinking habits.

I told everyone there everything about me and I didn't think about my wellbeing. I guess I'm lucky that I'm not the hospital.. lol. Everyone who lives there is a redneck. ;-)

I'll leave out the thoughts I had on my drunken stopper. I did like to drink but, it was 1 beer then 10 or more before I stop. Argh! :-( anyway.

Perhaps it's time to rethink partyin' with Dad's neighbors, sounds like you may have come to that conclusion already Brianna. I know they can taste good on a hot day, but my golly 10 beers ill loosen your words.

Not the best thing to be discussin' when you've had few with folks that may not know you all that well.

Take care Brianna, perhaps it's time to move on from that scene a while.

My thoughts,

Hi Brianna,

Oh my! that's a lot of money for a hangover!

Hopefully you'll return to that "don't have a drinking problem" condition now.

Take care,

i take bc powder for that.

when i stopped by my house for a brief visit tuesday,

i got all of the beer i had in the fridge and fed it

to the sink. (it was thirsty) i'll have to find some

other way to deal with things now.

we'll have to see what the weekend brings when i

park the truck..

As one of those for whom one beer is too many, and 18 is only the beginning, I am glad you are alright and back to doing some thinking. It was risky behavior, not to mention expensive, but since it was your money they may forgive you easily if they can remember what you told them. Oh my!!

Everyone addresses your problem with alcohol and that is important, but I have some darker concerns.

And I am sorry you lost the money, that would go a long way toward electrolysis or something similar for your transitioning. But I would say the worst damage is that you now are totally exposed. Everyone of those people told or is now telling everyone they know about you. I don't want to scare you, but what has happened may have put you in grave danger. If you think it through, although you said none of these people hurt you at the time, how can you be certain they won't in the future? How can be certain their friends won't get drunk one night and come after you? Honey, I suspect you really need to stay out of sight for a long time.

But did you learn anything? I mean what I just wrote, did you learn anything?

You should probably think on this in great detail and figure out how this type of situation can be prevented in the future. The answer should be easy, don't lose control like that ever again. If you had been transitioned and post-op, you most likely you would have been given alcohol until you were unconscious, then raped. If you had been in transition, living full time, and pre-op? Honey, they would have killed you when they tried to rape you and found out you we not what they expected.

thanks julie,

i never thought about what might happen to me.

i've been there since i was 16, most of the people there have

been there at least 5 years. all of them i know and get along

really well with, except the 2 brothers. one who likes to

accuse you of cheating at a stupid card game and the other one

who sticks up for him. lol

a new guy who i can't believe i said this with him there, knowing

that he's a x marksman. we got along real good after we shared

stories and stuff. (he looks like alan jackson) :P stuff i heard

from him what he's done i never care to share it. cuz he trusted

me with that info. if one wants to give me any kind of grief

another one is stepping in front of me to intervene so to say.

but yea i really didn't think about anything bad happening, i'm

just to trusting i guess. i did however think about it after

the fact. lol

thank ya'll for the continued support! :friends:

brianna

ps: how should i visit my dad? truthfully i'm scared to even

go back. it's also like nightmare on elm street, it has a

negative affect on whoever lives there.

Maybe this is too obvious, but, ask your dad how to set up visits!! If you visit there, it becomes an alcohol/drug free zone for YOU.

Julie pointed to one item, and this old Alcoholic here agrees that a very large number of "bad things" happen or are more likely to happen when you are not in control of the situation which your beer buzz will guarantee to be the situation. Part of my signature line makes a point of this.

On the other hand, making some type of offsite visit arrangements, such as a special night on the nearest big town could be a lot of fun, and the two of you may forget about needing the joy juice and concentrate on his learning about his pretty new daughter, who is an extremely wonderful girl. Something like this would give your dad space from his neighbors where he does not have to maintain his "image" and he may open some of his "rooms" up and pleasantly surprise you or even amaze you with things you never knew.

@LittleSam I dress pretty stereotypically masculine too, it's comfy! But sometimes I feel like being fancy and bright like a peacock so I do that. Being a peacock is fun :D  Plus I always think it's so weird that people believe certain genders can't do certain things, because why does it matter so long as no one is being hurt and the person doing the activity is happy? Basically, I think worrying about that stuff just causes a lot of unnecessary stress.  I don't really see myself as genderfluid mostly because my gender is pretty static, or I'm always masculine and not at the same time all the time. With that being said I can absolutely see how it relates! Especially since I think it makes perfect sense to go between feeling gendered or genderless, to put it broadly.  Overall, labels are our best attempts at describing hard to explain concepts like gender and sexuality, which are both really fluid and vary a lot from person to person. I went from trans man, to trans masculine, to agender, and back to trans man, so I essentially just went in a circle, but I learned a lot along to way.

I personally don't understand how wearing panties is comfortable for much of anybody.  I'm AFAB, but there's just too much naturally, um...down there....for panties to be comfortable.  Consequences of being intersex, I guess.  I'd suggests some slightly-looser shorts instead.  There are some that are marketed to women, but have a kind of androgynous look to them.  Wish I knew a brand name, but I could ask my friends.  Both of my trans friends are non-op, so they have no doubt experienced how you're feeling.   Ugh... I get really irritable when GF keeps trying to put me back in female underwear because she says I "look pretty" that way.  I never thought I looked pretty that way or any other way, and the pinching/pulling/chafing combined with the overly-noticeable outlines of....stuff.... just makes it no-go for me.  Last time she approached me with an underwear item, I warned her she was going to get bit.

I don't think so.  People may disagree with me, but I don't believe there's such a thing as "gay culture," "trans culture," "White culture," "Hispanic culture," or similar terms because those are really big umbrellas.    My background is Greek, and I live in the Mid-South part of the USA.  I share some of my trans-ness with my trans friends, and some aspects of our backgrounds and beliefs are similar.  But honestly, its impossible for me and the average trans person from California to agree on much of anything past the color of an orange and the fact that we don't quite fit in our bodies.

Just heard from surgeon. Surgery successful and she's awake and resting well. Spleen was large about only about 100ml blood loss, probably all from bleeding into the mass & not from any rupturing. Dr didn't see anything else worrying except a liver nodule which she biopsied although she suspects the nodule is just age-related. She's anemic but they're holding off on blood transfusion for now bc they believe she'll recover naturally. About a week to get biopsy report. And Dr said if she continues to do as well as she has so far, she may be able to come home tomorrow. So best news possible so far. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Well she did choose me in the end not him. Just frustrated that it was so hard to get her to do that.

I am sorry to hear that your friend turned out to not be a friend at all.  But that is the bottom line: she is not a friend.  She has chosen to ally herself with him and he is toxic to be around.
    • Vidanjali
Please pray for my precious baby lady, my Siberian husky, who is having emergency surgery this afternoon to remove her spleen and a large mass attached to it. May the surgery be successful and uncomplicated, recovery be swift and easy, and pathology be benign. She is our sunshine girl.

I decided to post here in the "other faiths" forum to declare this thread non-denominational and inclusive of all faiths, creeds, philosophies, etc. I thought it would be beneficial for our community to have a thread where we could reach out with requests for prayers, thoughts, intentions, or however individuals understand the sending of good vibes. So feel free to post here. Whether or not you get direct responses to your request, know it's been received, read, and honored. And may peace and ease be yours.

Hi, you can be a trans man and be agender aswell. I know it seems like a contradiction, but I see myself as non binary and I'm accepting myself as a trans man also. You could be called trans masculinine also. If you like trans man the best though, go for it. You can be a GNC trans man.  Have you heard of gender fluid? Not saying this is you, but it does relate to what you say. Sometimes you seem genderless, more agender and sometimes more masculine. I also see myself as a bit genderfluid, but only for the masc genders. I never wear anything fem so would never consider myself a fem boy. I used to think I was , non binary, then a demi man, trans masc,  trans man. I can't pin a label to what I am. My counsellor said I may be genderfluid, but a very masc genderfluid person. I love that you hate societal gender roles, I do too! I dress like a stereotypical guy because that's my style anyway, but I won't change my hobbies or personality to suit what a "man" is.

@Lydia_R   I seem to recall my mother making us cream of wheat or Quaker rolled oats in the wintertime. I don’t know about “old fashion” or “steel cut”. Now I preferred either with sugar and or berries and the cream of wheat with some milk.  I believe my older sister liked her’s with maple syrup.   as far as a “larger culture”. I think you will find that even though we all support each other there is no singular culture.  There are conservative values shared here and there are very radical everyone for the cause and rights.  I like to think that I am someplace in the middle.  No, I don’t go to Pride events nor transgender day of remembrance .  I don’t go to clubs or bars where others hang out.  I do try to hold council with others that need someone to talk to or a hug, or if I know of a group that might be helpful or a doctor, I will pass that on.  But yes I am out of the closet, go to work and church and do everything as a woman.  The male side of me is gone.   i get asked personal questions sometimes and while I neither get mad that what they are asking is too personal, I also don’t speak out oh yes ive done this or that or plan to do this or that.  I leave it with I've done everything I intend to do, or I didn’t figure this out until I was 68 years old because I knew nothing about what being transgender was. You have those that were kicked out of their home, I wasn’t, those that got divorced, I didn’t and those that have to put up with others who refuse to accept your gender, your rights to be who you are, and that I do get every day.   so is there a representative culture for being transgender?  Tell me I’m wrong, but I don’t think so I think we are a suppress percentage of the population that are getting braver but who get trampled all the time.   Willow
