Worried

Hi all, this is probably going to sound silly but I just needed to get this out.

I recently had a second interview with Wells Fargo, one of the few companies that's gotten a 100% from Diversity Inc for the treatment/acceptance/fairness for transgender employees. I'm happy with how the interview itself went (very happy, actually, one of the best interviews I've ever done).

Anyway, their hiring process is odd, they do background checks after the second interview if they want to hire you. Anyway, due to earlier despression/rage/thinking I was some freak from not knowing what the heck was going on with me earlier in life, I've had some small issues. Also, some banks do a credit check, and I'd be boned there too.

Finding any kind of job in my area is hard enough as it is (in recent times it was one of the worst places in the nation for unemployment rates, unsure if that's changed but it's still pretty bad), let alone one accepting of transgendered folks.

While I've comfortably come to terms with who I am on the inside and what all I need to do, I haven't had the money to start anything, not even going to a GT. I've been hopeful lately about being able to start down the path to make my life the way it's supposed to be, but now I'm getting worried as hell that my past transgressions are going to put my plans on halt.

This transgression is small, in fact I was acquitted (a case of mostly being at the wrong place at the wrong time), but the mugshot never got purged from my record. It's haunted me before keeping me from getting some jobs, but not others, so I don't know. I'm just working myself up and letting myself get scared at the prospect of not being able to start on my transition. :( :( :( :(
