In A Slump Tired Dressing Up, Laser, shaving, Makeup

When I am at work I have to wear the usual work clothes. When I get home often I just wear the same clothes until after supper. I have my usual female clothes, PJs for lounging around the house too. I find after I have had laser on my face I often get into a slump. My face isn't clear and it has that look to it. I don't want the makeup and wig and I don't like going out with my face looking as it is. When it is like that and when I am tired I just don't feel like getting dressed up. It seems like over a week now. My female clothes I like it better than these male clothes I have. I just wish I could get out of the slump and my face would clear up too. It's been 10 days already! I wonder if I hadn't taken a break from shaving for a few days if my face would have cleared up faster too. I guess I am not the only one who gets in a slump about clothes and shaving their face and body too at times. Summer time, work work work, tired coming home wanting to rest and back to work again it seems. It seems like the week goes by too fast too.

During the work week it is understandable when you get home to not want to do anything but rest. That is what the weekends are for to dress up and look pretty. It is ok to just kick your shoes off and just lounge for a while after work. Sooner or later the laser will take care of the face for you and you won't have that stubble anymore. It just takes time.

By the way I don't know anyone that enjoys shaving. I hate it personally. That is why I am getting laser pretty much everywhere. Not that I am lazy, I just really don't like shaving or having that shadow of the hair under the skin.

I have the same problem with work - I am so tired when I get home that I do not change out of my drab clothes unless we are going out but rather than being tired of dressing - I see my slump as being tired of working.

Once I have transitioned at work, the dressing part will not be such an issue but the shaving is still there.

Love ya,

Sally

Krisina?

Have you tried this? Your casual clothes are women's clothes, but not especially feminine all the time? Some days I just take it easy in a pair of shorts, flip flops and a Teeshirt. Of course my flip flops are jeweled, and my shirt has a sassy saying on it, like "Just put on your big girl panties and deal with it." It takes all the pressure off and you are just your true self all the time at home.

Krisina, in my experience when living in the female world your reaction is just normal. Few natal women find the energy at the end of a work day to do more than get comfortable.

Life wears us down, We sometimes need a break, I did find that my friends sometimes had long dresses-not robes but light cotton floor length dresses usually from India-that they changed into as soon as they got home. they were cool and comfortable. Still feminine without and need for effort. Ebay has tons of them-they are usually batik and come in every conceivable shape and style. Just an idea .

I am sorry that your face is causing you distress. I'm not familiar with laser so don't really have any suggestions, You sound like you have the summer doldrums I usually get about this time. As much as I love swimming and all that summer offers eventually the heat and sun and all just get me down.

Hope you find new energy and pleasure soon

Hugs

Johnny

I'm presently in a dry period, Krisina. That's just a part of life. I look at it as a time to assess, recharge, see where we are, and what positive changes we can make. These periods don't last forever.

Long days at work, not eating enough food feeling tired, getting home just feeling lazy in the summer weather even though I'm not in the area where it's having the heat dome. I'm not terribly dysphoric about the beard shadow clearing up after laser but I just want it over with so it's one less thing to deal with. I don't feel too feminine without my wig on, the breast forms and just kind of look blah to myself in the mirror but yes wearing some casual girl shorts and shirt would be a good idea maybe drink a glass of Coca-Cola, or green tea to increase my energy temporarily perhaps? Or maybe even try getting more sleep. I think though the weather is playing a part in all of this.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...

Reminds me of elementary school when a kid yanked my chair as I was taking a seat. I told him to "go suck an egg" and we both got sent to the principals office. I was like, "tf did I do to deserve that?"

Firstly, it's nice to hear that your other half is now open to you living as you are!   Secondly, things I have noticed, having started shots just before the New Year: Tears do come much more easily I am far more tender with my wife and I like to snuggle more I have noticed anxiety has an increased effect on me I am on a weekly injection, so when I get near my next shot I have noticed feeling a little emotionally "blah" After shots I am much more energetic and bubbly Otherwise, I wouldn't say I've been on any kind of roller coaster of emotion and I'm far from unstable. So take heart and congratulations!

Three reprimands in a certain time frame? It seems like they should drop off the calendar after a period of time. How long can they hold a reprimand on the calendar?   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Congratulations on getting the go ahead with HRT. I'm so ready for my wife to drop her opposition. As for the mood swings... I would look forward to them myself.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Three reprimands and they suspend attendance for a couple weeks.
    • Mmindy
Good for the other participant. What's involved in a reprimand? At our age, what are they going to do? Withhold snacks...   @BirdieI'm sorry you have to put up with such discrimination's. I'm proud that you're standing up for yourself.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
