I need laser, where?

How long before your SRS did you start laser, down there? Did they hit you on the head with a brick first? It hurts on my face, I can't even fathom what that's gonna feel like. The things we do for beauty.

You'll actually want to check with your surgeon about this. One of my deciding factors in selecting Dr. Brassard is that he specifically advises against genital hair removal. If you visit his site, he explains why.

If you are talking about around the genitals, I have heard the exact thing as Natasha in regards to Dr Brassard.

You are not supposed to be doing anything down there electrolysis, laser for example.

From his website part of the procedure says "....skin harvesting and thinning and hair bulbs removal of that skin which will be grafted..."

Check and see what you shouldn't be doing before SRS.

.

Same with most surgeons in Thailand.....

The skin in that area is "scraped" and the hair follicles removed.....

There are still docs that want you to get electrolysis down there...(I've not heard of getting Laser there....)

The doctors that do the skin scraping prefer that you not have any done because they do not like to risk any nerve damage to the skin that they are going to be using in the construction of your new parts - we start with about half of those for natal women and some will be traumatized by the surgery so why risk any before you even get there.

Love ya,

Dr. Bowers suggests a few laser treatments on the shaft and center 1/3 of the scrotum. I had a year of laser over the whole area, not that it did much because me and laser don't get along well (well I shouldn't say that..laser loves taking my money and giving me not a whole lot in return) Some surgeons suggest leaving some hair because it can hide the scar tissue, but pubic hair is very faux pa where I come from. (I think it's nasty, and don't want it on me) Anyway, even though I still had plenty down there, Dr. Bowers still had no problem doing the surgery, didn't even question it. I still plan on removing the rest that's there through electrolysis eventually.

As for pain, the face hurts more. But then, I've found electrolysis to be less painful than laser!

Kairi,

I only had enough time for 4 sessions of electrology before my upcoming surgery! Today is the two week mark and today is my last session for it. I don't like having hair there as well and I KNOW i'll be making sure to get rid of the rest of it post-op!!!!

PS. Laser never worked well for me either, so it's electro all the way.

If you do decide on laser down there make sure you stop at least 1 month before surgery to give the hair time to grow back if it is going to.

I went to doctor Bowers.

FTR I did:

5(?) sessions of IPL followed by

5(?) sessions of electro

In the year before my SRS. I did NOT want hair where it shouldn't be (inside).

IPL was pretty easy for me, no medication or bite block needed :P

For electro I showed up for the session early, put the EMLA cream on, covered it with Saran wrap and let it do it's thing for about 45 minutes before the session started. That allowed by to tolerate about an hour of electro before having to stop. But once we were done I din't feel anything for awhile as everything was zapped into numbness. In a way it was a practice run for SRS. What I mean is I would stand up after the session I would stand up and I couldn't feel anything down there. And I liked that feeling!

I may have to try the EMLA cream just for the feeling, or lack their of.

I have a little while, but I'm gonna ask my electrologist if she if comfortable enough to do it.

The lack of feeling was a combination of the EMLA and the ZAPPING.

Yeah, my regular electrologist didn't want to do "south pole" electrolysis, but she gave me the telephone number of somebody that would.

Nope.  I live in a rural area.  Pride events are for city folks.  The normally quiet LGBTQ+ club kind of changes atmosphere during that time, and things get a bit political.  As a non-Democrat, I avoid it.

For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.

I am sorry for your struggles. I cannot empathize, but I can surely sympathize. I wish only the best for you!

No, they are the only provider of services I need an my area. 😑

My size. A lot of guys aren't 5'3" at seventeen. My hands. It's a less noticeable one, but my hands are very "feminine"? If you know what I mean. My voice. Very high-pitched. I don't just sound like a female, I sound like a little girl sometimes My chest. I've had to stop binding due to frequent aches doing so, and it's not nearly small enough to just cover with baggy clothes My family. They still call me she/her, so that's an automatic out. My anxiety. I might be able to pass better if I had the courage to correct people. Instead, I'm too scared to speak up, so I find it hard. My lack of men's clothes.   Anyone else have these problems, or other ones?

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.

This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

I can relate.  I have always played a female character when given the opportunity. Not really and reason except I just alway pick them since I was young

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.

Welcome to the party, M.A.     Sounds chaotic haha, I can confidently say that living with only two children the same age is stressful enough, much less three!
