Below are some recent quotes from Billy Corgan to/about a trans effects builder. Billy asked her to build him a pedal. She did but he never commented on it. She called him out on a Smashing Pumpkins message board.

Here's what he had to say:

Not that he's been relevant for 15 years or so, but I thought people should know.

Is there a link to this? Honestly I don't find it hard to believe Corgan is a douche after the whole stitch in time song he did. However I would love to read it and see for myself what happened.

(But seriously, though, there are no bad words. "Bad thoughts. Bad intentions." And some people, like Billy Corgan, have a lot of bad thoughts and intentions. There's a lot more harmful stuff in those quotes than the censored words.)

I remember a stand-up routine which addressed this very point on the front page of an Australian news paper. I lol'ed

I was gonna make a thread about this myself, it broke my heart it really did been a massive fan of the Pumpkins for years now, and yes, Billy Corgan has proven himself time and again to be an idiot, putting it mildly, but this is a new low for him. It really is.

Whether or not he believed he was in the right, to insult someone like that is uncalled for, if he didn't like the pedal which was built to his design he should have just said so. Then again, its Billy Corgan we are talking about LOL

I usually say "hate the artist, love the art" but this is difficult for me, for someone who has loved them their whole life and grew up listening to Siamese Dream I feel very hurt. I even loved MACHINA!!!!!!

I will listen to my old albums by them I guess, but he won't get anymore of my money and I won't go to a concert where the lead singer does not want me there which may not be so bad, considering how everyone says he cannot perform live anymore

This is really disappointing. Back when Smashing Pumpkins were still a good band (until about 10 years ago), Corgan had seemed intelligent and fairly open-minded in interviews, although he had and still has been been a real cocky piece of work for pretty much his 20-plus year career. But being a good musician and songwriter does not trump ignorance and doesn't give you a free pass to turn into a hateful lunatic spewing garbage on the internet.

I'd been a fan of SP back in the '90s and I'd considered seeing them on their recent tour, but with Jimmy Chamberlin leaving and now this, I don't want to fork over my cash.
