Come on, Maria. If you are interested, it's too easy to fly to MC! I have been to Asutralia for 4 years and I've been to QLD. Anyway, did you go to the Brisbane Cup dressed as a woman? For me that would be a big deal. I do not go dressed up in a nice dress only due to the family commitment. My wife has stated it clearly that Ivanka must not go out. Lupi, why? Do you think to wear a tux is more expensive than to wear a nice dress?

A nice Tux can be anywhere upwards of 600, and thats just for the blazer!

I go everywhere as a woman now-a-days Ivanka ^_^ (I'm MtF), been full time for... uhhh, a long while :P

On the topic of dresses v suites, I can usually find nice dresses for like under $50, but a cheap suite is like $100 on sale.

Anyone from Kalgoorlie? Untill I can pass really well there's no way in hell would I be going to the Kalgoorlie cup as Sarah LOL

Maybe one year though we could all meet up and go to the Melbourne cup in fem mode and all enter the fashion parade! now that would be a laugh.

I gota agree with everyone who thinks a dress is cheaper than a suit. Even as a guy with a real typical mans body I find it easier finding dresses that fit myself well than compared to finding a well fitting suit.

It's because we are obsessed with female fashion. I have very good looks as a man. A female friend of mine commented recently upon a photo of me in a business suit on facebook: you look like a model :)

I have things to wear when I want. But I will never search for male things. But I can spend hours, years examining female fashion. It's more fun for me. As a result, no wonder it's easier for us to find things that make us beautiful. Not because there are no decent business suits offered.

By the way, I have fallen in love with this dress: http://www.lightinthebox.com/a-line-straps-sweep-brush-train-chiffon-tulle-evening-dress_p245977.html?utm_campaign=cartcross

Anyone knows where I can buy it under $50 brand new?

Sorry girls but I don't crossdress any more - I've gone full time now. I worked out about a year ago that I am MTF trans and I've started HRT over 4 months ago - hence my profile pic looking a tad bit 'girlier' than in the past.

I would still say yes to getting dressed up and going out somewhere sometime - it's just that I get to wear these clothes all day every day (which is great btw)

That was more a rhetorical question. I do not think it’s possible to find this dress under $50. I know where you are coming from, but not this dress. In my opinion, the fact that you are happy with the dress under $50, does not mean that female fashion is cheaper. I am trying to match a tux level. Even with this dress I doubt we are comparing equal things. If a nice Tux is anywhere upwards of 600, why not match it with a designer dress where only sky is a limit. Simple dress like this http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/361197 and the price is $911.92. Besides, a tuxedo can easily be matched with black classic shoes for $20 and that’s about it. Female dress up (if it’s a special event) includes professional make up, hair-dressing, jewellery and other fashion accessories which can sum up in thousands of dollars. Besides, it’s not a drama if the same tux goes to all important events, whereas in female fashion it’s a drama to be in the same dress twice. And that’s the most important things. Even if you buy thing for $ 50 often, you end up spending more than $ 600 as for a tux once in a while. Jenny, yes, nice picture but a very important step. I hope you know what you are doing.

Having taken on the site, forums, and all of the bills, from Dev (May 2020) and because I also want to be fully transparent about the cost of running the site, I feel it's time to update this information. Sorry that it has taken me two years since I last gave an update, just life getting in the way.   If you'd like to donate, please do so via the green bar at the top of the forum pages.  The months of July through October are pretty heavy with annual and semi-annual expenses and every little bit helps.   Here's the breakdown as it stands now:   Chat is now free. (Stu now runs the Chat)   Regular Charges: There are occasional one off's as well. Forums:  $70.00 every six months (February and August, effectively billed in January and July). (Was $45 until 2022, support ticket system depreciated!) Resource Locator:  $53.00 yearly, this "widget" failed this year, so I have been able to find a (currently) free replacement. Resource Locator Mapping: Google maps, currently under the minimum monthly usage, so free. Email Delivery: $5.00 monthly currently free, changed to a service that offers a much larger monthly allowance. Server Rental:  $30.00 monthly. Greatfully sponsored by The Breast Form Store. Security Software:  Now included in the package we have. Domain Renewals: Approx $75 annual charges for Transgenderpulse.com, Lauras-playground.com and the server domain. Contact Us Form Software: $79 yearly (August).   Total Monthly Breakdown: $54.50 per month.  (Annual bills = $654) Updated May 2024 (Slightly down on previous years).   Now then.  I'm on a fixed income, which means I know what it's like not having a penny to spare.  If you're not in a position to donate, please don't feel guilty; I didn't take over here to turn a profit.  The lights will stay on.  Donations are very much appreciated, but they are not a requirement of membership.   An update to clarify a couple of points: Because you have to use your legal name with PayPal, emails confirming your donation from PayPal will be from a name with the initials "DS", not Petra Jane and the email used is tgp (at) uk-web***   Unfortunately, we can only accept payment through PayPal, and please ensure that you have permission to make any donation through a PayPal account, we have been stung by someone alledgedly using a PayPal account without the owner's permission and incurred an additional $20 chargeback to refund the donation!   We have recently seen a number of these of late so I am asking that genuine donators please add your forum username in the comment box so that I, and I alone, will know who has sent the donation and that it is genuine. Thank you. Also, this appears only to Members who are logged in on the forums, New Members need to have made a minimum of 10 posts.   Let me reassure you: Donations help towards ongoing costs related to keeping the site running, including hosting, bandwidth, etc. It also encourages us to commit regular updates, add features, and improve the service. Our promise to you is that this site and its use will always remain free of charge.     Petra Jane

This is the dress I'll be wearing this evening while we watch the Kentucky Derby. Not sure if I'll throw on heels or flats with it - probably flats but I haven't worn heels in a while and the Force is strong.
