A silent cry

A silent cry that's so old

it grows cold in my throat

a token sound

unspoken

so dry it would be choked on

before it ever reached my lips

The battle scars are bleeding again

would tears wash away the pain?

the shame?

the dirt?

the foreign body in the wound that hurts

after all these years

in a body that never was native to me

but that fit like a slightly damaged glove

around the knowledge of you

And this fabric of flesh and soul you tore

a soiled rag on cold, hard floor

and in the small comfort I made my bed

left for dead

unloved

unfed

a wounded beast

ruined, before I ever knew if these clothes would fit me.

All bodies can break or be broken. All can be lost except the person we are inside and true love for those blessed enough to find it. In those things my friend I believe you are rich and blessed.

As a dark poet heart myself, I'm very critical of poetry... But yours.

It melted my heart, and I cried.

I honest to the tempest storm cried.

A person like you is of a huge beauty, and it is honestly the manliest thing I've ever seen to admit to oneself they are in pain, or are feeling broken, or need help.

You call yourself a beast, but you are far from that, you are a beauty. You say your cry is silent but you speak words louder than audibility recognizes. We hear you.

We love you.
