My S/O and I saw this today and give it

I wouldn't post about this kind of movie ordinarily, but in this case, there is an LGBT connection. For those of you old enough to remember the guy, there have been rumors circulating since his death about him being a lifelong closeted gay man, and possibly even TG.

First off, this is a spoiler alert: read no further if you don't want some plot points revealed.

I don't know how reliable the sources were for the screenplay, but Mr. Eastwood (the director) and his writers clearly believe, and show in the film, that Hoover was gay, and had a very long love affair with his second in command, Clyde Tolson. There is also one scene in which Hoover dons his mother's dress after she dies, strongly suggesting that he was at least a cross dresser.

The film is strongly acted by all the major players. I foresee Best Actor and Supporting Actor nominations for Leonardo DiCaprio and Armie Hammer. If you're looking for thrills and action, this is not the movie for you. If you are looking for a great character study and intense drama, go see J. Edgar.

Dang, honey, those of us who ARE old enough to remember him can scarely forget The Chief.

Police work is about the farthest thing from any calling I would care to do; however, I must give credit where it is due, and much credit is do to The Man. You're a lifelong weast coast girl, right honey? Well, Lacey Girl grew up in the very epicenter of the industrial northeast. Her point? The Bureas work against La Cosa Nostra was it's finest hour ... dreaming up the RICO statues and infiltrating New York Cities Five Families was their master stroke. Actually, Rudolph Guiliani (obvious NOT a Bureau Man deserves much credit too).

Okay, mob freaks. Fun time! Who was the REAL Godfather? Hint: New York City. (Of course!)

Lacey :excl: Make you and offer you can't refuse :excl: Lynne

Opinion:

The John Lennon & Paul McCartney of American organized crime?

Lucky Lucian (Salvatore Lucania) & Meyer Lansky (Meyer Suchowljansky). Put a really sharp Italian guy and a really sharp Jewish guy (both of a certain persuasion) together, and, LOOK OUT, compare and bubalah!!! Hey, I'm half-Italian and half-Jewish and of a certain persuasion. Oh, no !!!
