Elsewhere there is a link on this site to a hypnosis site that claims that it can help with feminizing MTF. Has anyone here used hypnosis as part of your transition? And if so, what were the results?

There is a lot of stuff out there that is iffy. I'm not familiar with this one. I suppose there may be possibilities but I would want to do a lot of research on the technique and the site before I invested any money.

If you do a search on eBay you'll find a ton of haunted things-necklaces, rings etc and spells to turn you feminine as well. Guess I am skeptical by nature. Hypnosis is definitely more scientific than spells and haunted rings but I'd still be careful here.

I have done it on youtube. doesn't really do anything i think except relaxes you lets your free your mind.

I went to a professional for hypnosis to quit smoking. I managed to stop smoking for all of 18 hours I think. Hypnosis is not what most people think it is, like what the stage shows purport it to be. The science behind it is simply that our minds are more receptive to suggestion when we're in a relaxed state. A hypnotherapist does not put you into a trance.

That being the case, a recording listened to while asleep would probably be more effective than a waking hypnosis session. It can be difficult to become effectively relaxed in a clinical setting.

Hypnosis is going to work different for different people.

It will not "change" you into something you are not.

What it can help with is relaxing and letting you more aware of your subconscious self which may help you bring out your true self.

I have used relaxation and meditation techniques that are the same used by hypnotist with good success for most of my adult life.

For what it's worth, here is how I navigated to this hypnosis site.

1. From the main site, on the left hand side, I clicked on Male To Female Transsexual MTF
   
2. In the middle of the screen click on Male to Female Transsexual links
   
3. Again in the middle of the screen click on Transgender Feminization Training Camp
   
4. On the next screen in the middle, click Feminizaiton

Sounds too good to be true. Assuming this is really a bit of a scam, how does this site "vet" the links that are put on this site?

Although for $19.95 maybe it can't hurt to try it out once on HRT? I'm going to do more research on this guy, Grant Boddington and update with what I find.

If it was part of a post then all we can do is make sure it meets the Terms & Conditions because we have no way to check out every statement on every site. Hi Johnny: I bulleted the navigation steps I took from the main www.lauras-playground.com site.

All: I did some Google searches on this guy Grant and evidently he is a very well known and registered hypnotherapist from New Zealand. Especially on the entertainment circuit. So...if/when I start on HRT, heck, for $19.95, I'll probably give it a shot.

I was multitasking and hadn't didn't see your post giving the info when I started mine. I did see this on the links page which I think explains it to some extent. I'm glad to hear that this is a reputable therapist and the price is reasonable but I don't much care for the hyperbole

Look at those claims again. Lose Facial and Body Hair? Somehow I doubt a hypnotherapist is going to teach you how to use your mind to physically change your body. It starts at 19.95 but then they tell you that you have to have multiple sessions for any real results. Maybe I tend to be a naysayer but I begin to question the legitimacy of all claims when one claim is exaggerated.

Hypnosis is not about how much a program costs or what it claims to do.

True hypnosis is akin to meditation. You can find yourself, you can relax. You can work with your mind, you can change your thinking. Changing beliefs change reality. Perspective, anyways. Buying a program is a quick-fix. How often do quick-fixes play out? I bought some books and learnt some basics along the way. If I really had more time I'd love to be a meditation guru some day! Maybe you want to look at NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming. It's basically the same thing as hypnosis and meditation as well. In the end though, it boils down to your own mindset. There've been some amazing people do amazing things on account of how they perceive life.

I'm an all out believer in perception-is-reality. But that's just me.

I'm not saying or believing that hypnosis just by itself will accomplish or transform from a masculine male to a feminine female, but...I do believe that along with the HRT, speech training, etc, that hypnosis can help with these.

Anyways, once I start HRT (hopefully within 2+ weeks), I'll probably download the program and give it a try. I'll definitely keep everyone posted as to any "perceived" positive impact over and beyond what would have been expected anyways.

Definitely keep me up to date on that! In fact, please notify me when you make a new topic(or you could just PM me). I'm really interested in things like this. Also, I know this is more on the spirituality-side of things, but you might want to give Law of Attraction a glance. It's basically just about how what you focus on becomes reality, and how the path that gets you the goal doesn't matter. I agree that things like hypnosis definitely could aide something like this, we think alike.
