hi everyone, this came up in one of my posts in another topic, thought id add it here.

my wife and i love vampire flics, and yes twilight too.

this one is imho, the best of the best. and has a significant tg element.

Let The Right One In( original swedish version, english dubbed, i cant speak swedish)

the us remake of this one was ok, but the tg element was removed entirely. that was a dissapointment, but typical of hollywood.

check it out, you wont be disappointed.

I tend to watch the old black and white horror films from the 40s so I liked the Bela Lugosi one for Universal Studios - also the silent Nosferatu - one of the earliest appearances of stop action time lapse photography as a special effect in a motion picture (not to mention solarization - so I won't)

No TG elements but good fun films

Love ya,

Sally

Hehe. ROFL is an acronym for "rolling on the floor laughing". @ is the symbol for "at". And DJ is Donna Jean.

So my post was "Rolling on the floor laughing at Donna Jean. I thought her post was funny.

Let The Right One In is incredible! I'm used to subtitles from anime so I've always watched the subbed version. Just an amazing film and there's quite a big tg element as you say. If you haven't already, read the novel. Its sequences and plot differ quite a bit from the films and it's even darker. I really didn't like the Hollywood remake, it had nothing on the original for me.

Just have to get a bit more praise in ^^

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant film!

yep, underworld is great. unfortunately made the vamps seem to weak. all vety nicely done, high budget, great graphics. kate beckinsale is a beauty. really like her for period, historical films.

ive always been a fan of certain actresses, for their beauty and acting ability, but not in the way most natal men do.

my favorites are, emma stone, scarjo, jlo, eva mendes, fran drescher, katherine heigl, michelle williams, anne hathaway, ginnefer goodwin, to name a few. i love parker posey, from best in show, and blade 3. she is uniquely beautiful, and hilarious to. i loved brittany murphy too...what a tradgedy.

I've always been a fan of Near Dark and for all its flaws, Interview with the Vampire. Oh, and there's the original Fright Night (the remake was rather tepid, even though I love me some David Tennant and Colin Farrell).

i forgot to mention true blood. i know its an hbo series, not a film...but my wife and i love hbo series and hbo original movies. we got netflix thru my droid smartphone, and have been watching the transamerican lovestory series on the flatscreen at home.

no suprise the she booted the guy that had a transexual porn business first episode. what did he think she would say about his business. at least he said it early on. sickos like that are a significant contributor to the mas populous misunderstanding us. i love calpernia, shes awesome. i like jim, ftm tg, a lot too. hes having a hard time being confident, but hes a good looking guy, and easily passes without question. i dont think he sees himself that way though. too bad, hes very nice and has nothing to worry about.

we are only up to the third episode so far, but wifey likes dating shows. this one is my favorite, but i think hers is the bachlorette. i always watch the reality shows with her. theyre great.

planning on getting trans the movie thru netflix too. i love tg movies.

happy new year,

hugs,

Eliza

Good news is that I have nothing serious going on. The blood was coming from internal hemorrhoids, and the doctor says it's from the "typical American diet." Too much fat and carbs but not enough plant based fiber. A few other things were noted and biopsies on them for safety sake.    Hospital visit was grand with "most" of the staff addressing me as female. I did have "bra talk" with one of the CNA's. Even my discharged papers use my preferred name on them (Birdie).   So basically, adding more fiber to my diet will eliminate my internal hemorrhoids as well as lower my risk for cancer.

For that part, be glad you live in MS and not in CA or some other "paradise."    Unfortunately, right now in the USA it is about choices.  Choose to live in a mostly free state that doesn't want my gender to exist, or choose to live in a leftist place that accepts my gender but not my family or my faith, or how I want to live my life or the stuff I own.   As for the lawsuits... hiring a lawyer costs money.  And a "no fees unless you win" attorney probably won't take a case like this, as it is difficult to get money from folks who often don't have anything.  As they say, "it is hard to get blood from a turnip."

There's a couple of things.  First, since so many LGBTQ+ folks often vote Democrat, it is simply assumed that "LGBTQ = Democrat."  And to many, Democrat = enemy.  The fact that some of us don't vote for Democrats comes as a surprise to many.  You wouldn't believe how many different times I have had to explain how I vote, that I don't like Biden, etc...   And then, there's the flamboyant, over-the-top appearance and behavior of some.  When average folks see strange dress, wild colors, and the occasional provocative behavior in the news, they assume that it is the norm and that all LGBTQ+ folks are like that.  To them, "LGBTQ = weird."    I think that @Abigail Genevieve is right, part of it is lousy marketing.  And that will take a ton of undoing, because it has been going on for years.
