Im not sure how friend codes work? beside mine is the DSi. Dont think you can play the same games ):

yeah, the 3DS has a different friend code system than the DS and DSi. The DS and DSi have different friend codes for individual games, whereas the 3DS is more like the wii, and has one friend code per system
