10 months waiting - ended this Friday :D

I *finally* have an appointment this Friday for a counselor. I don't think this one deals with trans issues that much, but it's been about 10 months, and she seemed like she genuinely wants to help, so I'll give her some time. The other clinic(the one that deals in HRT) hasn't gotten back to me yet, but I definitely will follow both paths until I can isolate my life's path.

As long as she is willing to help than that is all that matters. Try her out for a couple visits before you make a decision to stay or not. She just might be who you are looking for.

Don't forget.......

Your therapist doesn't HAVE to be a "Gender Therapist" to write you a letter for HRT.....

But, with most of us...it is advised that the therapist be trained in the issues that we have....
