3 month HRT update.

Well here we go, only 2 days shy of 3 months of HRT, and still on my starter dosages...

WOW, lots of stuff going on!

Mental: Yes, I am fully aware that I am... That's not what I mean though. Initially I noticed a dramatic drop in the steadily increasing chaos of my thoughts. Then a suddenly fluid connection between thoughts and emotions. That connection was actually very dificult to deal with because of the distraction factor. I found that my old coping techniques for the chaotic thoughts are helpful still, and what more are becoming less and less necessary. Yay!!!

Ok, that's it. Update done, that right there is more than enough to make it all worth it. Truly beyond anything I could have imagined or hoped for!!!

Oh, come on, you didn't really think I was gonna leave y'all hanging like that did you?

Shall we continue then?

Body Shaping and HRT Voodoo (as Cadence so eloquently put it) I have lost 15# but not until yesterday really figured out where it came from. In general I have always had extremely high muscle density rather than bulk, I could lift weights and carry loads on my very slight frame that men with apparently 2-3 times as much muscle as I carried would have difficulty with, and more often than not for longer periods. Yeah, not so much anymore. The tape measure hasn't wiggled one bit around my calves, thighs, forearms or biceps. What has changed is that when I flex said muscles they are much much softer and no longer remotely resemble their steel-like former incarnation. There has been one area however where the tape measure shows a marked difference, my ribcage measured @ the bra band has shrunk from 34 1/4" mean average fully inflated/deflated lungs to 33" even. Wowsers! Totally unexpected. Yeah, that means my bras are now comfortably hooked in the middle eyes instead of snugly on the last hooks, and here I thought they were just stretching out!

Otherwise changes to my body shape/measurements are virtually identical with only a very slight increase in the hips. Ahh, now those with a mind for math and geometry especially are scratching their heads... Yes my chest got smaller, but my bust most definately has not! In fact relatively speaking it has increased by said differential. That's right folks, breast development has been chugging right along. Now according to the elusive Tanner stages, I still qualify as early stage 2 based on shape and characteristics of the nipples/areola to which there has been no change other than sensativity. The glandular tissue behind said externals, has been going bonkers and driving me in the same direction along the way. At this point lifting my arm above my shoulders moves the girls enough to make my eyes water. I'm getting very good at doing just about everything with elbows clamped to my sides or risk the little minxes wrath! As to actual size, the as yet rock hard glands are a little less than 2" in diameter and 7/8" thick thinning out toward the edges, with a slight amount of surrounding soft tissue. All told they are definately taking a female shape and beginning to project somewhat already.

I am you could say estatic!!!!!!!!!

Naw, that's way too mild. :D:lol:

General Furryness and Skin: I had early indications that body hair would be noticeably impacted in the form of selected areas simply not growing or as I put it, taking a siesta for a couple days at a time. Well, it hasn't given up the fight, but it seems that each interruption has slightly reduced the thickness and darkness of the fur in the affected areas. Hair on my upper arms and hands has completely lost all color and forearms aren't far behind. Leg hair has been affected similarly, though not quite as drastically. Chest and torso much less so. Underarms actually have dramatically reduced their growth rates etceterra, and the lower abdomen has thinned out as spectacularly.

Skin has continued to thin and smooth out at it's own pace, and is sucking up lotion faster and faster as well. For some reason I have a much harder time gauging progress in this regard. Ohh well, there is some, just elusive in it's nature I guess.

Well, there you have the full scoop, as it were. And in a couple more weeks I'll be getting MY full scoop of E, woohoo!

I'll get you guys, girls, and sundry others a pic later after I've had a chance to clean up... Been driving all night, and finding myself a bit offensive just now.

Elena:

As my Old Man used to say:

"Now, you're cookin' with gas!!!"

Let your light shine brightly, babes!!!

Peace  Lacey

Postscript:

Sometime, whenever you're parked at a truck stop and just chilling out, fire the trusty laptop (or netbook), go to YouTube and search for the song "Lovelight" by The Grateful Dead (hopefully with Pigpen (Ron McKernan) singing the lead which would be 1972 or earlier), and know that they're singing YOUR song!

Of COURSE, it's redunant? Aging hippies like me are redundant by definition, out of date by choice and out of synch with joy!

Peace & Hugs :friends: Lacey Lynne

Postscript:

Ya, got me, babes! Ya GOT me! Ha, I'm so flamoozled ... hee hee!

Also, check out The Grateful Dead doing "Sugar Magnolia/Sunshine and Day Dream" in the later 1970s!!!

Cade,

We got more to gab about since I whipped out the tape...

DJ,

Yes, I know the rules. You can say anything you want on the www but without pics it didn't happen. I'm getting to it, can't stop and get dolled up anytime I like out on the road here. :P

Megan,

Thanks hon.

I have to admit to being worried the girls are learning too well, especially with what is normal on both sides of my family. I know it's still too early to really tell, but considering I am not in my teens or twenties even and still on starter E dosages... Well it has me wondering. Not that I don't want nice breasts, but I am worried about being proportional mostly. (I think I've gotten over my hangup about the attention factor, with my forms I am effectively @ a generous C and well, kinda liking it. :D )

Congratulations Elena! Im almost a month into my hrt and I look forward to what the future will bring.

Be safe out there, oh btw, i didnt mean to remove you as a friend in my messages I hit the wrong button. I was wondering why I havent heard from you. Oh well, I know youre busy too.

Lacey Lynn, I knew you were one cool chick. Unbroken chain by the dead on the mars hotel album is my favorite, darn hard to play on the guitar too. i still have all of my hundreds of bootlegged tapes, dead, wsp, and phish.

I actually restored a 73 vw westy bus in college. i was a hippie too. sadly my bus got destroyed by a hurricane in florida when we lived there. i still miss it.

I always wanted a split window with the side folding dormobile top.

One day, maybe ill find one left over from the migration when I get to san francisco.

Oh well,

I may be going to hell in a bucket, but at least Ill enjoy the ride!

Eliza

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.
    • Sally Stone
Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
