Second part of SRS surgery?

Hello everyone

I had my "first" SRS surgery in August 2011, and I'll have the second part of the surgery tomorrow. I already looked around the net; but I couldn't find out anything about what exactly will happen during the second surgery...

The first surgery was really successful and I'm happy with the result too. The only thing that my surgeons didn't do during the first surgery was "close the labia" above the clitoris. They told me that it was safer to do the surgery in two steps because if you close the labia above the clitoris in the first surgery; there's a small risk that the tissue gets to tight and dies off because there's not enough blood supply...

- Has anyone had their SRS surgery in two steps too? I looked around on the net, but all I found were one-step surgeries...

And if so, can anyone tell me what exactly happens during the second surgery? What exactly do they do?

- Do they just "close" the labia (as in connect both parts of the labia above the clitoris) or do they do something else too? Because if that's all they do; I don't get why i need to stay in hospital for 5 to 7 days... Is it just a cosmetic surgery?

- Will I need a urinary catheter again?

Of course, I'm gonna ask my surgeons all these questions tomorrow too, but I'm still curious and a little anxious about the surgery, so I'd like to know in advance what's gonna happen to me...

I don't know the answers, but good luck either way. I'm pretty sure my surgeon does it in two steps also, but I won't know until the 8th of March
